First thing that came to mind from Egypt encounter was Bill/Sphinx

This is entirely plausible. When I ran track in college, there were tons of encounters among the women's and men's teams. (We traveled together, stayed in the same hotels, relaxed in the same hot tubs, etc. A few of the couples worked it so the paired men stayed together, as did the women, and then they'd swap in the evenings).

A related, but slightly off-topic query: Anyone interested in doing some beta work? I've a completed ~20k word one-shot that's a Harry/Daphne tale. (Some of the aforementioned Ginny/Quidditch loving happens in the piece). I'm looking to post in ca. a week and could use a second beta. Enquire with a PM if interested.

Well after skimming the last 23 pages for links I have deduced that you are in fact completely and utterly wrong.

I saw the Technomagic fic on FF.net and blatantly ignored it. Technomagic is... just crap.

I just finished reading Phantasmagoria 5 minutes ago XD But that one is quite good, though it doesn't have any H/F in it yet...

And "The French Affair" I had already read. I suppose if I count the stuff I've read there is one or two then >.< But nothing new unfortuantly.

Since there's nothing new on the H/F front, nothing I've seen with regular updates anyway, can anyone reccomend me a good fic to read? I need something to pass the time...

Speaking of, are there any good Harry/Black Sister(s) fics around these days? I haven't read a good Narcissa or Bella fic for much too long and I don't think I've ever seen a Harry/Andromeda pairing...

 

i'm new here but am a big fan of the Harry/Fleur type as well, did you ever check out a story by an author named railracer titled "Harry Potter and the five year war" what ever happened to it? i thought it was good

A quick check in the library shows up nothing. Google searched "harry potter and the five year war", nothing except a review by jay21317 asking the same thing. You misspelled the title of the story, shinigami.

 

Google also searched for the supposed author name, came up with this.

Yeah, tried looking it up, only have a copy of it when it was on AFF.net and the repost when the Author rewrote it thought you guys might have known if it was dead, by the way what ever happened to the Secret of the Male Veela story did it die or is the Author just takin a break? To many good Harry/Fleur stories die out, it really sucks

 

It's on extended hiatus at present, from what I understand. The author isn't much of a fan of the fandom anymore, either, I believe. I'd be very surprised - pleased, but surprised - if it ever gets updated.
