Thank you very much for helping, JWH. I just edited it following what you did with the review, hopefully it is less painful to read now.

I will keep my comments to that format from now on than, along with keeping them more organised (and much less content).

 

Blinded...terribly rushed, plot points are glossed over in favour of Harry/Fleur romance saturation.

Aspects that I do like, however, are the quidditch team being close to Harry, and the whole 'Ron fallout' situation. Probably because those actually feel realistic given the circumstances.

 

This. The reason Dormant Blood would rank higher on my list is simply that it is written in a way that actually let's me read. Blinded... forget it.

 

There is a low-grade pun there somewhere.

I agree what has been said about the last three mentioned stories in general though. Little to no redeeming qualities. Why this thread even continues to stay alive as there is a distinct lack of readable stories with this pairing is baffling.

 

Because we all hope.

 

Because every two years there is one Harry/Fleur fic that makes this waiting worthy. Last time it was Harry Potter and the Wastelands of Time and it is time for a new champion to arise (sequel doesn't count). We must stay vigilant!

Hell, I'd settle for a well written, believable, romance without having to get all super epic on us. It doesn't even have be complicated, and it would not be too hard to make it realistic starting in the 4th year with Harry asking Fleur to the Yule Ball and fluff like that. I don't think I've even seen a fic where they go to the Yule Ball, it is not really that outlandish of an idea.

 

I think someone should write something similar to Harry F'n Potter, only with Harry handling it in his 4th year.

 

It could work. It could get pretty dirty when the term 'leetle boy' comes back to bite her, or rather, cockslaps her in the face

 

My brain immediately went into the task of trying to formulate a wise-crack about Veela in bird form v's the term "Turkey Slap".

I stopped it in time though, carry on.

Thx. How did I miss that? I'm rolling on the ground after that Harry/McLaggen interaction in chapter 1.

EDIT: And it's abandoned two scenes later? Shame.

 

“Uuuhhhnng.” Harry moaned as he slowly inserted himself in.

He slowly entered, one inch at a time. “So goddamn hot,” Harry mumbled.

“Ahhhhh. That feels soooo good.”

Harry’s breathing started to become irregular as the feelings washed over him. It was almost a sensory overload.

He stopped for a few seconds, enjoying the current feelings of where he was at. The sound “mmmmm” escaped his lips.

All of a sudden he plunged himself until he felt rock bottom.

“Aooohhhh!” Harry gasped. “So…warm…“ he said in between a sigh of delight.

His breathing started to even out in a steady rhythm as he closed his eyes, enjoying the sensation.

Then the side door to the room opened. His eyes widened; he nearly forgot!

There stood one of the sexiest girls he had ever seen. “I zee you have gotten in zee ‘ot tub wizzout me, Monsieur Potter.”

Harry pushed himself to the side of the hot tub, gathering some of the bubbles around him to cover himself.

“There is always room for you, Fleur.”
