Hedwig should die protecting Harry from a Death Eater or something and be reborn as a phoenix. Because that's never been done before.

In case it's not sarcasm - it's been done. By RossWrock in Harry Potter and the Power of time. I'm pretty sure it was sarcasm, but you never know on forums.

    ARE YOU GUYS SERIOUS

I never did Pokemon. The only one I knew was the one with the electric tail, Pikachu (I think) :?

Anyway, my idea SUCKS now, but I thought it was really original. it was simple something to intercept spells, and something to fuck with Fawkes's teleporting. That was the idea behind it. FUCK!!! :x

Well, I'm glad that no one does it then.

    sorry

    :D

You're a female and your name is Damian? Okay...

I dunno what you're going on about. Sure, James made an ass of Snape that time, but who's to say that Snape hadn't done anything to provoke that attack? I mean it's utter bullshit to think that James is a bully just because he made a fool of Snape at some random point in his schooling.

What i mean to say is that Harry is a gryffindor as well, but oyu don't see him, or any of the other Gryffindors go around hanging people in the air for kicks.

You can argue all that bullshit about the different upbringing, but others in Gryffindor in Harry's time don't do anything like that either. I'm sure he had a real reason to do something like that. JK isn't the sort of writer who would write in a part that disillusions Harry about his dad and forget to redeem him.

It all comes down to the fact that James Potter gave his life to give his wife and child some time to escape, the fact that they didn't notwithstanding. He took a killing curse wile dueling the most powerful and evil wizard alive in order to buy his family time. On the other hand, Snape betrayed theprophecy to Voldemort, and was in the best position out of all people to turn Pettigrew to the dark and betray the secret. Sure enough, to make his case even shittier, he goes and scurries to hide behind DUmbeldore's skirts as soon as shit starts falling apart.

Of all the things to be pigheaded about, this is simply ridiculous. I am not pro James, but it's just idiotic how you defend Snape just because he is 'dark'. For crying out loud, the guy picks on his dead enemy's son for kicks, and literally reduces the house point system to uselessness with his bias.

One last thought: for all his supposed genius, what sort of man makes a mistake like leaving a pensieve full of memories that incriminate Harry's dad out in the open, especially when he KNEW that Harry would be in the class at that time, and alone too? It's a set up...as a spy, he can't afford to be stupid enough to make mistakes like that.

You mean to say that if some evil dictator came along and said he would kill you if you didn't join him, then that is the right way to go. I'm sure you wouldn't say this if you or your family was hurt or killed. It's like saying it would be okay to join and torture for Hitler so you could survive.

Maybe not morally okay, but wholly understandable. It's easy to talk about what's moral and right like this, but when such a situation is staring you clear in the face I'm sure you'd change your tune. The will to survive is something quite instinctual. Most people would do just about anything to save themselves.

Yes, something shown in 1984. I believe that a person would do anything to save himself, even if it means sacrificing their loved ones. It's basic instinct.

I suppose maybe you're right, but I would do anything possible to keep my family alive too. If I wasn't openly involved with it, it might be okay but still bad.

I respect James for one and only one reason, he gave hsi life to protect his family. I can't help but repesct someone who gave their life for their famliy, that takes some serious balls.

Well how many times have you seen someone start talking about something only to be directed to got to an older thread... That said, five months is a helluva long time to go before responding to something!

Blasphemy! Snape is much worse than James, any way you look at it. Even if you hate James because he was a bully, Snape is a bully even when he's an adult.

I think Snape is a cooler character though, although to be fair we don't really know that much about James.

Snape can be one of my favourite characters when he is portrayed right (as in, not completely petty and bullying little kids like he does in canon, but also not a nice person - thats just sick).

Well, if James didn't trust Peter, then he wouldn't be dead, now would he? Bad judgement of character there.
