Hi, im trying to find this fic that i started on some time ago, but never finished. Figured i would try again now.

It starts with Sirius escaping, who then find Harry at the Dursleys and take him away.
It then continues with them moving to a Black house in Russia or something (not absolutely sure about that), where Sirius decides to pretend he really was a spy for Voldemort, and contact some old Death Eaters, to get some information. He and Harry then (i think harry was either disguised or blood-adopted so he lokked more like Sirius or something) go to some sort of party or get together for old Death Eaters. There Harry meets Draco Malfoy and other of the young Slytherins and other on their age. Harry then discovers he is a Parselmouth when Draco shows them the snake hed gotten. One of the other kids was the child or niece or something of a Durmstrang professor. Harry then decides he wants to go to Durmstrang where they get sorted in some strange room where ghosts or something sort them by their potential. Harry heard them talking to each other, about a chosen or something when he was in there, something that apparently was very unusual because the other kids only heard their house.
That was as far as i had gotten. Does anyone recognise it?

Is this slash, story sounds interesting, but I don't want to start reading a story that ends with harry getting butt fucked by dudes....

 

I didn't get far enough when i started reading to tell you, sorry. I only got to the second day of schoold or something, but I didn't see any signs then at least. I agree with you about hoping it wont be tho.

Ugh. Harry's far too mature in that story. Or at least, he is in the chapters I read.

 

It is explicit slash, though it's - iirc - not a huge part of the story. I even got through it in the days when I was in an earlier stage of the fanfiction scale.

That said, explicit slash is sometimes explicit.

 

Ugh... Well in that case maybe i wont bother reading it after all.

I've read a good portion of the story - and the slash is explicit and overwhelming and I would say a large part of the story later on, and it's a sudden change too. One minute Harry is going about is own business, and the next, Voldemort is making moves at Harry nonstop. If I remember correctly (I tried to read the story about 5 years ago), it happens around 200k words in. If it weren't for the slash, the story would be pretty decent, and the depiction of Dumstrang is the best I've read, but with the slash it's a moot point.

Avoid.

 

I take it it's an example of shipping taking over the plot?
