I was thinking about something the other day.

Alot of the better Harry stories I've read usually involve him getting a sly wizarding solicitor early on, who helps him ream Dumbles a new one, has anyone seen fics that aren't already listed here?

Harry/Vampire is great, I'm doing a form of Harry/Werewolf eventually, one of the few good Harry/Demon stories is Prince of Darkness, havent run across many other goods onces.

What's your favorite subgenre?

I tend to be partial to Harry being Voldemort's Heir, whether raised by him from infancy or joining him later. I actually have an idea to do a story using the old "misread Prophecy" cliche with Harry and a younger brother. Except in mine Dumbles and company will have read it right in that regard and wrong in another. The sibling will indeed be the one fated to be able to challenge the Dark Lord. Except the Dark Lord the Prophecy refers to will not be Voldemort. It will be Harry. So, brother versus brother to decide the fate of the wizarding world. Harry will somehow get separated from his brother early on and end up being raised as Voldemort's apprentice, only to betray and kill his master later on and take the reigns of power himself. Of course, I'll probably never get around to actually doing it, but it is an idea.

 

Make it a challenge with a whole set of rules and everything.

 

ONly type of stories I read

 

I don't do challenges. I like to keep my ideas reserved for myself. I don't have faith in anybody else ever being able to render my vision for something as well as I could myself. No offense to anybody, mind. Besides, I really do want to do this. Just I'm not sure how well I can balance it with my two existing fics. If I do write it, it may well be an exclusive for this site. I plan on it being very, very NC-17 and it'd never last at fanfiction.net.

 

The whole Harry is Voldemort's heir genre is a bit to close to being of the Oedipus Rex storyline... The whole Son kills the father and fucks the mother... Wait come to think about it I saw a few of those on FF.net...

Personally I like a good Independant, Slytherin-esque Harry, with just a hint of mental instability, a small side order of darkness, and a Machiavellian nature.

This usually leaves me hunting for good Azkaban fics. Unfortunately the ones worth reading are in short supply.

Why can't someone write a good Azkaban fic that isn't cliched to hell??

I broke out of Azkaban, I got confronted by my former friends and Dumbledore when my innocence was proven, I fucked Ginny, I killed Voldemort, Me, Ginny, and our horde of kids lived happily ever after.


If I see one more like that I will be killing the author.

 

But the best part of those kinds of fics is when Ginny smacks Harry up so he realise how stupid he is for holding a grudge for being betrayed like that. *Shudders*

I am tempted the use the egg beater shoved up the rectum then turned on full power.

Though really what I would like to use is a giant microwave... Apparently if you put a living animal in one of those for long enough the animal will go splat.

I never ate microwaved snacks at his house again after he told me that... Never did it myself though... I dunno, maybe if I catch a bunch of ants or somethin...
