Question for y'all:

What did you imagine Luna would look like? If you had to cast somebody other than Evanna Lynch, who would you choose to play Luna?

 

Hrm, perhaps Bette Davis, alive and de-age'd of course.

 

Since when aren't women objective love interests? I do this in real life, and it works.

 

For me, Luna Lovegood will always be Juno Temple. She's the right age, has the right look, and has the acting chops, as proved in films like Atonement. Coincidentally, she actually auditioned for the role of Luna in OotP but narrowly missed out to Evanna. Speculations, speculations.

 

I agree that Juno would do a good job. Evanna is pretty and did a great job. However, she's not the prettiest girl in the world, and her new red hair doesn't really help her case.

 

That's not a problem since Luna isn't described as the prettiest girl in the world...

 

Luna isn't a 10/10 hottie.

 

Temple's eyes don't seem large enough to me. They were supposed to be a bit too big, almost, because she's seeing too much, right?

 

Another choice of mine would be Christina Ricci.

 

Wednesday Addams would not make a good Luna.

She would make a great Daphne though.

 

Do we even know what Daphne Greengrass was described as? Aside from fanfic's portrayals, I mean, where she's usually black-haired/blonde-haired, blue-eyed/green-eyed.

Oh and mustn't forget that she's the Ice Queen of Slytherin.

God, how I hate that shit. I hate it so much.

Save for the "Ice Princess" fic, that shit is hilarious and adorable.

 

I'm thinking of doing a serious Harry/Luna fic just to see how well received it would be. There aren't very many, as we've seen here, so it might be a viable niche to exploit.

Zeitgeist's original question was about who'd be Luna looks wise. I'm fairly sure the image I posted has her with straggly blonde hair and eyes that look slightly protuberant.

 

You might be right about there being only one Ice Queen, but that sure as hell ain't it.

 

Well alright, Elsa is the Snow Queen. But that's close enough for me.

Nah. She's nothing really, just a girl that somehow has snow/ice related powers and that's it. She doesn't really fit in well with the usual stories associated with a Snow/Ice/Winter Queen.

Anyway, back on topic now, is there more stuff with Luna and Harry that's similar to "Luna's Hobby"?

 

She's a literal Queen with ice powers. I'm not sure how much more "Ice Queen" you can get.

 

I don't think so. Does anybody have any good Luna recs? And please, no "Luna flakes" where Luna is added as a third wheel to a preexisting pairing like Harry/Hermione.
