Ceebee you forget that after 4th year Victor is gone from Durmstrang and will most likely fade into the role of a minor character. This means one of three things for Kira's character.

1) Kira also fades away into nonexistence like her boyfriend.

2) Kira joins the Calypso Harry Superfriends group!! (sniggers)

3) The thin piece of tissue paper (Viktor) holding back that racist little bitch disappears and Kira's last year in the story becomes a constant fight with her juniors.

To me 3 is the clear winner on what I want to see happen. So you will have to forgive our "Slavish devotion to canon" just this once.

Plus Kira getting dumped, without notice, for a muggleborn two years younger than her would just be copious amounts of gasoline added such to a confrontation. Calypso would never let her live it down.

 

4. It's an AU story that you're trying to force canon upon for no reason.

 

Perhaps I wasn't clear the first time. Here is the reason as stated.

Clarification: If Kira remains in the story after the fourth year it would be without Krum separating the three who are already at odds with each other. Canon here (Hermione dating Krum) would serve to increase the tension since Kira harbors a dislike for muggleborns and she got dumped for one. Calypso would rub that in her face igniting a whole shit load of confrontation.

Where do you guys see Kira's character going if she continues to date Krum?

 

Obviously all this antagonism between Kira and Harry is a red herring, and once Krum leaves she's going to start banging Harry until his dick has callouses.

My point was more that it would be nice if people quit beating dead horses and just waited for an update before contributing further to the thread. Like, when there is something new to discuss. I don't mind lots of pages if it's actually contributing to something, which in this case it's not. Pointless conjecture that can wait until the story comes out is silly; better to respond to what's actually written, not what may one day be written (or not written, as the case may be.)

I knew there was a reason why I kept reading this thread between updates. Thank you for the new drinking habits Oz.

 

I was going to post a few thoughts about this story, and potential paths it might take - but then I actually read the fucking thread, and, unlike the majority, realized things had already been discussed.

And the cycle was broken.

 

I think part of the reason is that the thread is so long. 74 pages is a lot to go through to catch up. When people see that I think they just blow off reading even the last 5-10 pages, because it just seems like a lost cause.

And :facepalm:, the thread is now a discussion thread about the discussion thread for the story.
