Summary: It was a normal day, until newly turned 8 year-old Harry Potter decided to make a wish upon the dog star (even though he'd almost never actually seen it) and set off something in the Unlabeled Room in the Department of Mysteries. Turns out Dumbledore was wrong. Again. It wasn't love that the Unspeakables were studying down there. It’s mostly Regulus we follow in this story. A little later in we get Sirius as well and then first in the last chapters do we see Harry. We get to see a lot of Black history.

21 chapters and 292.000 words. The author says that there may be a sequel.
I don’t think this is anywhere on DLP at least that I can find, but if any of you do I’ll of course take it down.
There is quite a bit of the duels in the story. Some better than others and even one with Dumbledore, that I think is very good.
Before you give up on the story you should read 3 chapters. It’s a little confusing from chapter 1 – 2 because you go from Harry to Regulus.
But try it out.

Sorry, but first chapter filled only with AN, without even bit of story is sign of rather poor story. Starting the next chapter with low-quality description of Dursley abuse is just confirmation.

I will not read further just to rate it 1/5 because there are more pleasant and productive methods of wasting my time.

 

Confusing story, especially when the multiple time travels come into play.

Technically the writing is good (few grammatical mistakes/misspelled words), but the story felt boring, so I ended skipping a few chapters.

It focuses mostly on Sirius and Regulus Black (the Black family in general), with some chapters dedicated to Harry. Harry is under 11 years old during all the 300k words of this fic too, which is probably why I couldn't get interested in it at all.

So 2/5 for me.
