Hmm, guess I'm desperate. Because, even as the last chapter was a major disapointment, I have got nothing to read and will read just to ward off being bored.

Damn lack of new, quality fanfiction

Well I had liked this fic as a nice light read but this last chapter really did ruin it for me. It could possibly improve but I kind of doubt it.

Yeah this one lost me a few chapters ago... I've reached critical mass in terms of reading any stories where Ron Weasley gets laid by anyone other than a participant in ths special olympics.

I've begun to tire of the Weasley family in general actually, and this one didn't have enough good to outweigh the bad.

As for Harry viewing anyone as a sibling...how the fuck would he know what it is like to have a sibiling...he can't use the Weasley family as an accurate barometer, a millenia of inbreeding has rotted their brains. So question, how can Harry qualify anyone as a brother or sister?

Rowling completely lost me when she spewed the shit she did in Deathly Hallows here, if Harry wasn't brain damaged he would have beaten Ron Weasley to within an inch of his life years ago...but maybe my standards for friendship are higher than hers?

As for the story 2.5/5 simply for being readable, even if it is tiresome.

My shipping days are past, I just want to read good stories. My one active series happens to be H/Hr but that is a matter of writing what I am comfortable writing more than anything else.

As for the story...Clell does have a tendency to go the harem route...so we'll see when he continues to write.

I like how Ron portrayed his mother as a closet blood purist. That was made of epic and awesome.

I must agree with the rest of you. While I had liked the portrayals in the beginning of this fic, the latest update has sent its direction a complete 180, and along with it my opinion.

    1/5. A disappointment.

I was initially afraid to try this story because of the 'Marriage Contracts' in the title. I finally got bored enough that my reading inhibitions disappeared long enough for me to try it, and I'm glad I did.

It isn't really a new idea--Dumbledore and select Weasleys are fucking over Harry Potter, whilst fooling him into thinking they care. However, I like what the author has done with this, for the most part.

Do I like that Ron Weasley managed to get laid? No. Do I like the different types of drama that have and will continue to spill over from the situation? Hell yes. It's realistic in the sense that Ron is too thick to realise Hermione means she loves him, and only sees her as a fun fuck. It's also somewhat realistic in the sense that a bookworm with insecurities would let herself be used that way, regardless (or in some cases, because of) the fact that she's being taken advantage of. Harry may not really know what a sibling relationship is, but he knows what he thinks one would be. So his saying Hermione is like a sister to him doesn't bother me. The fact that Molly Weasley is being portrayed as a closet blood purist, to borrow the phrase, also gets points. Harry is also setting himself up for the first bit of drama in a new relationship--choosing a friend over the date...also realistic.

Beyond that, the way Harry and Neville keep betting over silly stories to feed Dumbledore is entertaining. I'm looking forward to seeing the next pile of bullshit they try to feed him. It will be interesting to see if we actually do find out the true secret to how they disposed of Voldemort.

That said, the grammar and formatting is at times atrocious. It isn't fun to actually work to figure out who is saying what during dialogue. Not only that, but it looks like the relationship between Harry and Daphne is being primed for rush-material. We'll see, I suppose.

For now, I'll give this a 4/5, because it's entertaining and somewhat realistic at this point. Hope it doesn't drop in quality or believability.

No, the proposal may be realistic, but the final presentation is not. This fic is to realism what a B movie based on a true story is.

Just read the latest update, and have to agree with everyone who was disappointed. The ideas are sound, but the writing style just isn't there. I think the author needs another beta - someone who can help make the story flow.

    Seems the author did disappoint.

Ain't nothing wrong with Mrs. McGonagall getting a little loving every now and then...

I thought it was okay. That whole, "Can you imagine what Mum would do if I tried to marry a muggle born?" thing portrays how a pureblood would act perfectly. Some of it was slightly funny. You gotta love turning Fred, and George Weasley into Veela... Or was it just the one? I forget... Anyway, I give it a 2/5 *

    It fucking bothers me.

It's a cop out. Authors do it all the time.

"LOL YOU'RE LIKE A SISTER TO ME, I COULD NEVER LOOK AT YOU SEXUALLY" bullshit. Guys look at girls that are "off limits" in their minds all the time. They don't even try to deny it.

It's just a thinly veiled attempt to pair off characters as the author's bias prefers. It's lazy writing.

The author can just as easily drive a wedge between Harry and Herms so that they don't like each other "that way" and it'll be a thousand more times interesting to read than a line like "yeah, you're a sister to me, I don't see you that way,".

I tried reading the first chapter of this fic – only because this has so many replies, but with the premise as it is (the title is repulsive) and the fact I'll only run into lines like this in the future, I'll be going no further.

    Updated.

Meh. Losing interest quickly. There's no real conflict or direction besides the supposed relationship between Harry and Daphne and the usual pitfalls. I think I'll read the next one and call it a day.

Yep. The author has managed to turn an interesting idea into a disappointment.

Unless some redeeming factor comes along, it's staying at 1/5 for me.
