This story just comes off wrong. I cringe at every word I read...

 

I enjoyed the prank - and I usually loathe them. Ginny being outed as the gold-digging slut she is, is enough to raise the story's value immensely for me.

It would Banner if she was portrayed a bit more realistically and if there was some more background information. This is one of the stories wich are made up nearly entirely of conversation and those stories just can't get very far. I liked the first few chapters but now it just sucks -.-

 

This is a reasonably good fic. My main quibble with it is the superiority of the muggle world which the author drives home at every point. I guess I have read too many stories of muggle superiority, so it begins to grate on the nerves.

It was semi-amusing anyways. I have serious problems with a few of the already mentioned flaws, but it's still readable. And as I'm running out of shit to read.......3.5/5

Ok, I like this fic. Why? Cuz it's Harry/Daphne...

 

There are two huge problems I have with this story:

First, there's no conflict whatsoever. I guess that DD is supposed to be the primary antagonist, but he's been completely neutered in the face of Harry's overpowering AWESOMENESS.

Second, just about every character is a goddamned cartoon. The good guys are virtuous and pure of heart, the bad guys are either caricatures of evil overlords (DD) or shrieking Harpies (the Weasley women). There's no depth to anybody, and no development...

In fact, Ron is probably the only character that's even remotely realistic; a 17 year old boy using a girl for sex? Like that's never happened, and it's a lot more realistic that 17 year olds falling deeply in love (or even wanting to). Harry's reaction to the breakup (which had nothing to do with him) is total fail as well. Running to Hermione to give her a shoulder to cry on? FUCK. THAT. SHIT. Stop being such a pussy, Harry. (It's *always* Bros before Hos. Always)

Now, I'm all for Harry/Daphne wherever it can be found, since with their different backgrounds there should be all kinds of interesting hurdles to overcome along the way while they're getting together. That could make for a very interesting story... Unfortunately we get none of that here, but rather something that reads like Kinsfire's finest (from zero to LUUUUUUUUUUUUURVE in 1000 words).

I'm beginning to wonder if the author even knows for themselves how Harry defeated Voldemort...

 

I'm having too much fun with the AD-supporters-spanking to care. Once the author actually answers that question, a lot of the humor will die. Although I'm always up for Weasel-bashing.

 

My favorite part is the shit that is told to Dumbledore. I laughed so hard I though my I was gonna die.

Other than that. Its decent enough compared with alot of the pure shit Ive attempted to read lately.

 

In all honesty, this has one redeeming feature, which is the reason why I finally decided to read it and that is Harry/Daphne. I liked the first couple of chapters with the marriage contracts. I thought it was going to be quite a funny piss take on the pureblood lifestlye that Fanon immerses itself in. After that it just got shit and boring. The interatction that led to Daphne and Harry's first date was poorly thought out and executed. It completely contradicted the 'Ice Queen' image we are told Daphne has forged for herself.

Please I need a decent Harry/Daphne fic.

 

I like the fan-fic cliches Harry tosses when he talks about wasting Voldemort.

 

They're starting to grate, actually. I realize that the author is being all clever and meta and everything, but he's telling the same joke over and over (and it's actually not that clever the fourth time in a row).

"You want to know how I did it? <Insert Fanfic Summary Here> OMG, I can't believe you fell for that AGAIN. U R so DUM!!1! I owe Neville 10 Galleons."

Here's why (from the A/N in chapter 8)):

 

Meh, as long as they are unique, I find them amusing. With nothing else to read, I just have to settle for something mildly amusing.

Mostly forgettable filler. The only things that were somewhat interesting were Harry and Neville going to Gringotts, but that was a flashback scene that had nothing to do with the remainder of the chapter & Hermione and Justin interaction.
