The summary of this story is as simple as this:A complete fuck up of fanfiction.

Well, the fic was finally finished today. Or yesterday, whenever I got that email, I just happened to finish it right now.

I ended up reading the entire thing from the start, to end again, just to make sure I knew what was going on.

From a personal perspective, I honestly really enjoyed it. The first 8 chapters or so, well, until the christmas, I would of rated as a 5/5. I honestly doubt the rest of DLP would, but I have a weakness for decent fluff fics, this one was possibly one of the only ones I can stomach, apart from Jeconias'. So yeah.

The second half... was good as well, but it definitely turned a lot of tables, and frankly, reading it while it was updating sucked. Reading it all in one go definitely made me enjoy the fic more, somehow. Overall, the writing style was decent, but... I think a little more depth could of been added to the story. There were no points in the fic that I felt were repetitive, and everything seemed to flow really nicely. No overused plot devices or anything. The story accomplished what it aimed to do, and did it well.

Overall score will be a 4.5/5, rounded up to 5/5 for the rating system we use. It is a complete guilty pleasure for me, however, so I don't expect many others here to agree with this view.

 

A swing and a miss on the ending in my book. Final score is a 3.5/5 though desecrating AD's grave made me snicker...

 

A week late since the last chapter came out to finish this story but here's my two cents on the topic.

I've got to disagree with a lot of people, I've enjoyed the story.

The author's put a lot of work into the story with his research on marriage contracts and the like. The story was decent and it is now completed. The first 9 or so chapters where humour was the major theme kept me interested in the story, and for that sake I kept reading it when it descended into the new non-humorous twist.

The rape as a major twist destroyed some of the charm but the presence of a plot does overcome that somewhat. If it could have been anticipated or there were undertones of such an event it would have been acceptable. Since there wasn't I've got to say it was poorly introduced and executed.

I feel that the ending restored some of its older humour with Harry and Neville pissing on Dumbledore's grave and so I'd give this fic a 3.5/5.

The only thing I enjoyed about this story was the Lupin bashing.

I agree with you in the first half of your assessment, but the second half could use some help. The rape turned me off and part of the plot sounded weird and f-ed up. Over rating I'd give is 2/5

 

I agree with most people when they say this is a good story. I enjoyed it and it was lot different than I thought from the title. I liked the conclusion of the Daphne marriage problem but I think the end was somewhat lacking. So over all about a 4.5/5.

- Mind your grammar and spelling. Besides the fact it's prettier, there are quite a few non native speakers on the forums and correct English is easier to read. Trust me on this.

- If you wish to review an old story, make sure your review is a bit consistent. While there's no such thing as necroposting in the Library, one-liners coming up after a year of silence aren't much recommended either.

- Explain to me how you came up with the rating '4.4'.

- Stop giving me headaches.
