Harry follows Sirius behind the Veil. They both end up in alternate reality where everything (and I do mean everything) is reversed - Dumbledore is the dark lord (with Ravenclaws being his chief supporters), Riddle is the Headmaster, Snape is the head of Gryffindor etc... There are lots of mush involving Harry's parents, but Harry also gets personal dueling training from Riddle (he practically teach him how to defeat himself), so I guess it's an OK tradeoff.

Unfortunately, the second part is crap. Harry is derailed to another alternate reality, where he has to fight evil replica of himself. Lots of crap stolen from movie "The One" + involvement of deities and super-powers totally ruins this part of the story. The fic is abandoned after they leave this universe, so it doesn't matter anyway.

All in all, this fic has some (okay, lots of) stupid parts, but good action and the second best Harry-Dumbledore duel in fanfiction makes it worth reading IMO.

 

It wasn't a bad fic, but I perfer his Naruto fics over his HP ones, save that HP/Naruto X-over, although much better done then most X-overs of those two, I don't like it.

I agree. His Naruto stuff is amazing, but he never updates his stuff anymore. I tend to not read his Harry Potter stuff because of the fact that they just aren't that good.

Its crap like that that makes FF.net so unbarable at times. Now the Honks stuff is ok (unless you don't like it I guess...) but the rest.....

 

I'm not in the mood of searching throuugh shit to find his "gem" of a duel against Dumbly. SO if somebody could tell me what chapter it is that would be great.

 

Yea I've read it, which is why I tend to dislike his HP fics. His Naruto fics i can stomach although.

 

This fic, at least for the main Harry, doesn't have a pairing yet. And really, the duel isn't particularly special, in my opinion. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2277604/5/ is the chapter with it though. The build-up to get there is more interesting. But the Dark-Evil!Harry and how that Ginny and him are all special and she loves him... seriously barf-barf-bleh. I can't stand MaxFic's romance. It literally is basically everything wrong with romance in fanfic. I prefer slash to it.

But if you read the author's profile and saw his lovely argument about how Harry-Ginny 'just seems right', you should also note:

"Sink Into Your Eyes" fits him very well. Lordy, every time I see that site name, it just makes me laugh. It's so bad. The site is named "Sink Into Your Eyes." It really just makes me picture strapping a massive kitchen sink into a giant slingshot and just as Harry and Ginny are about to kiss, the sink flying by smashing their faces into a bloody pulp. Maybe we need a site for Harry Ginny called "Bullet Into Your Brain".

Actually DGD needs to make a 'sink to the eyes' icon. Seriously.

I just read MaxFic's opinions of the relationships for HP. I have only one thing to say in reply to it: I would rather date my sister than go out with Ginny! In fact, I'd rather be hit in the head with a cannonball than even be in the same universe as the irritating little redheaded bint.

As for the story itself, well it stared out alright, but it quickly went the same way as almost every other Super!Harry, which is basically what it turned into.

 

Honestly, I never could enjoy this guy's work. In every fandom he writes, he's a total canon jockey with pairings. Same goes with his Naruto works, as I'm becoming increasingly hostile to Naruto/Hinata recently. Can't really appreciate that.
