An Illustrated version of the book is being released in October 6th. They are planning on releasing one book every year.

Here is the link to the preview of the book.

The images in that page will probably stretch the screen. so not going to link the images here.

The drawing of Hagrid's Hut is gorgeous

This is a dream come true.

These pictures show how the movies should have looked. Especially Hogwarts and Diagon Alley.

    All of my yes.

Oh wow, these are totally beautiful. I love the style of the art as well.

The books must be enormous though! Any word on how much they'll cost? It feels a little silly, but if it's reasonable, I might even buy it.

I love that they've not just drawn the actors from the films, but have actually gone with their descriptions instead. Brilliant!

The picture of Harry under the Sorting Hat makes him look so evil haha.

Also, the Hermione in the picture of Harry, Ron and Hermione in the Great Hall is really weird. It's like they've badly photoshopped a photo of a face onto the drawing of her hair.

But in general, liking the pictures a lot. Especially Harry - that's exactly how I imagined him.

Time to start saving up money to replace all seven books :D

All of these pictures look beautiful, although the sorting hat looks a bit off. Can't wait for the illustration of Harry seeing Hogwarts for the first time!

    >mfw I saw these pictures

But really, wow. I'm glad this art didn't just stick to what canon explicitly describes, or the way the movies look. Could you imagine just how inspiring this would be if you were a kid reading the books for the first time? I remember I always used to flip to the cover constantly just to solidify in my mind just how it all looked like.

    These are great.

    ...And the faces are hilarious.

The pictures look simply amazing, but what's wrong with Hermione in the Great Hall picture.

Any information about the dimensions of the book?

I think it's his trademark lopsided grin.

Joking aside, these look really good. I especially like the colours. Wouldn't mind buying them.

Malfoy on that picture looks hydrocephalic, sort of like Sahir:

Wow. When I saw the title I assumed this would just be another cynical cash grab, but those are legitimately gorgeous. Might just treat myself.

Is it just me(seems so at the moment) but that patchwork Sorting Hat is nothing at all what I imagined. Otherwise, for the most part, I am totally digging these. Really cool artwork.

I dare say the patchwork Sorting Hat is exactly as it should look. Makes it more magical, somehow.

I just ordered the Bloomsbury set for my daughter. I think it's time she started her literary journey. They look amazing.

I can't say I'd given much thought to the Hat's appearance really, but it fits in perfectly with the Wizarding World in general, and especially Hogwarts. The genius and formidable Headmaster in technicolour robes with an abiding love of ten pin bowling, the literal mad woman in the attic, the architecture that shifts around at whim, pretty much everything about Hagrid...of course one of their most notable artefacts is a ramshackle bit of tat. It couldn't be anything else.
