Or maybe it was the glamour?

I like this, and I want moar. 4/5, might be bumped up to a 5 depending on future action.

The best HP_Xmen fic I've read, still short, but the expectation is there.

Like mentioned there are some plot holes (clothes, glamour thing) but so far, I like it. I'll tentaively hold off on rating it though.

Just got done reading the first 3 chapters. Not a bad story. A few errors here and there, but an enjoyable read compared to other x-men crossovers I've read. I'll reserve my final judgment, but for now I'll give it a 3.5/5 just because of the cliches and plot holes. Hope to see a little bit more of this one.:whipped:

There's some potential here. I'm gonna wait to see how this plays out.

Hmm...i don't know about this one, yet, seeing as I've only gone through chapter one till now, but I did like dellacouer's BtVS cross, it was much better than most others I've read AND it is completed.
So I'm rather hopeful about this one too.

EDIT: Ok, seen all three chapters, and besides a few spelling mistakes, this has definitely got some potential. Hope she updates soon though; updates in her last fic were.....sporadic to say the least.

Enjoyable but to early to tell if its going to be any good. I would like to see if he continues to just stick with the story, that he only heals and how he covers every thing else up. So far 3/5 but we'll see where it goes

Well, I'm not a big Slash fan but there are already charcters with more possibility of it. even harry i can see having a little bit of 'off' in him in his life. But there are some characters that it just doesn't make sense for.

There is an FFA author working with one. Yes, it is H/Ginny, but it has possibility. I like the author too.

I'm gonna try to swallow this story... as the woman I am.

Okay, I read it. Harry is a little psycho but only in the way that he can't find that much reason to care for things that are hideously wrong. He tries to fit in as he does. And despite the superishHarry (which I love) it is pretty good. I recomend at a 9/10 for some things... and also because its an Xmen/HP xover that isn't Slash... not that I have problem with Slash but it seems that every other story is on for some male on male action as a big thing. This fic is pretty asexual at the moment.

I have to say, having just read both, that I agree. There's really no comparison; dellacouer's story is superior and far more interesting. Hers features a Harry with limitations (hey, I can't Apparate out of here, what gives?) and more depth of character than just "I'm fifteen and mad at everyone," who isn't given every advantage under the sun, who gets thrust into a very disorienting situation, yet seems willing to keep his wits about him and find stuff out. He acts simultaneously intelligent, cunning, and a bit off emotionally and psychologically, the kind of shell-shock the situation demands. While use of the Veil is pretty cliché, she gets points for having writing a Harry whom I could see traipsing through just for the hell of it.

Bobmin's piece is starting down well-trodden ground for them: Super!Harry more powerful than God and so angsty you just want to slap him; idiot!Ron, complete with fish-in-a-barrel Ron-bashing; bumbling Dumbledore; Hermione as the voice of reason and levelheadedness, delivering sermons from on high rather than dialogue; morality plays about how "we failed him" and "we should have treated him better"; "too-good-to-be-true" surrogate parents who step in and save Harry from himself. It's mechanically sound, well-edited writing with consistent characterization that practically writes itself. Yet it's vapid, Indy!Harry pulp fanfiction for the masses. The only thing new is the crossover and that's not enough to carry a story.

While I've never read a Buffy/HP cross-over, the start of this story is encouraging enough to make me want to check out what else dellacouer has done.

[Edit: p.s. Your avatar still freaks me out.]

While I agree with Perspicaty, I still overall disagree with some of the lack of magic use and theory. For example the glamour charm bled? Somehow I doubt an illusion would compensate to show Harry bleeding from Wolverine that easily.

Another problem I have with it is the simple lack of action on Harry's part, especially in the case where he's being shot at, wth it is stupid beyond belief since I'm under the impression that a shield charm should be within reach of his abilities if not just summoning their weapons outright.

Why not? If a glamour charm can already accurately map a changing body configuration of the original person to the new appearance, then it won't take much more to map injuries as well. Such an effect wouldn't be substantially different from its normal operation in either kind or degree. It is certainly consistent--the glamour itself did not have to "bleed", rather only fail to prevent injury, with Harry's blood simply going through it.

The whole clothes thing and Storm and Wolverine's conclusions making them idiots is indeed very grating, but has been covered above.

Interesting story to say the least. Though I've seen the "veil is the gateway to another dimension" far to often it isn't as retarded as "Harry's timeturner get's hit with an AK" , the author needed an explanation why and how Harry would leave his world and come across the X-men universe. If Tonks looks a little bit silly on the way there ... meh.

Since 90% of the fanfiction stories out there suck, when it comes to grammar and spelling, I really don't care anymore if the story is good enough to make up for it.

Harry`s checking-out Storm makes me hope for a more interesting pairing than
what you get in your average story , so all in all I'll give it a 4/5.

3.5 Interesting even if the writing style is a little off.

The possibility of Harry/Storm is new and worthy of being looked into but there is nothing really in the story that sugests a direct pairing for him. The fact that he is a young male (young being 15ish-25 for wizards I guess) means an up for his hormones but the idea that a teacher such as Storm will look for THAT at someone 'so much younger than herself' is an iffy, unless of course someone wants to open up that particular can of worms.

This story is defenitely sounding within the 90% range of 'AWESOME' of the many fan fiction stories that are out there in today's day. It's a defenite wish on my update list.

Meh... a guy can dream can't he. I'm a closet storm-fanboy, sue me.

He was checking out other girls, that's always good in my book. And since he is in a parallel universe there is also no danger of one of the usual pairings so that's even better.

It's different, we can agree on that. We can only hope that it's a good different.
