Well now I can understand how the above is an improvement. PoA for us was this badass cover.

Never had a disappointing cover really, in fact PoA's cover was what got me reading HP in the first place.

Maybe I'm just weird, but these are by far the nicest of all of the cover themes. Shame they never made them :c

    We also got these:

Which are beautiful. Though I don't think they ever made a full set.

    And these:

    Which also look fantastic.

I can definitely agree with that last set. I had this lot, same as Seratin, and I liked most of them. First one bugged me with the hairstyle but has a cool picture of Dumbledore on the back, the second was dull and in the last one they just look ugly.

First two new covers look pretty cool, especially PS.

TBH, I was rather partial to Mary Grandpre's US covers. I had the UK PS book as well, with derpy Harry, but I always thought it was kind of weird. The US Order of the Phoenix book is pretty iconic to me as well, the switch to all blue signified that some serious shit was going to go down.

This image is extremely relevant to cover discussion.

My mental images of Harry were all based of the UK covers, so I still think those are the best, though the ebook covers are pretty nice.

Grimmauld Place's drawing was pretty awesome too.

Your link seems to have an alternative version of the HBP cover. My US version featured Harry and Dumbledore standing over Voldemort's basin in the cave (on the front), and Hogwarts students watching the invasion of the DEs on the back. I think that was probably my favorite of all the Grandpre covers. It also had a monochromatic scheme, like OotP, but in green.

I really love the far right covers. They have some really shitty bits like the font on the PoA where you can't read the text, but Harry himself is very nicely done and actually looks like a little kid to start with and a young adult by the end.

The French? ones just to the left of that look extra derpy though.

The Half-Blood Prince re-release cover was unveiled at Comic-Con. I like it, though I kind of wish they'd been able to keep the shifting color scheme of the originals around.

It's kind of weird that they're going through with all of these after the 10th anniversary set stopped at one:

I like the HBP cover... but what the hell is Harry wearing? It looks like a damned yellow blanket.

I assume it's meant to be his Invisibility Cloak, but still.
