Is this fic worthy of the trash bin?

Well, the star rating would seem to indicate so.

Hence, If you want to see this excuse for a story gotten rid of, use your vote wisely, and vote terrible.

Or I suppose the mods could just get rid.

Well, ratings are not just from story content, but also grammar and writing style. This one is well written, but it has some iffy moments, and several cliches in this genre. Well deserving of a 3/5. Three stars means it is okay, but not considered worthy of the actual library by most members, so it is placed in the Trash Bin for those who want to read it. One and two star stories are outright deleted from the site.

At first, this story reminded me slightly of "The Hero's Path". But after a few chapters, it became clear that ETMegabyte hadn't invested into her story even a portion of the forethought and planning that Jack had into his.

Simply put, this Harry learns magic too fast and too well. Hell, what 6th year Hogwarts students needs several months to learn (conjuration), this Harry managed to master in the course of a single afternoon... wandlessly. Anything at all that he desires, he only has to imagine it and it will happen, even permanent enchantments like portals and edible food. No wand, no incantations, no restraints - just imagine it and it will happen.

I've seen super!Harry done before, but I've never seen it done in such an illogical and contra-productive fashion. I mean, your average super!Harry would normally spend his time kicking asses and waging war against equally strong opponents. Even if his skills are overblown, there is at least some tangible purpose of him having them (or even equally powerful enemies, in good super!Harry stories).

What is this this little jerk going to do with his powers? Breeze through classes? Act all tough in front of other kids? Make 11 year old Draco Malfoy cry?

What I'm saying is - this fic is heading towards disaster. I mean, we all know the plot of PS and other canon books. There's not much more to say on that front. That's why any in-canon AU story needs to rely on other elements that were neglected in canon - that is usually a different set of friends and magical training. But here, by the time Harry reaches Hogwarts, he'll apparently be at least as knowledgeable as an average 7th year, probably even more.

What will he do then? All the plot twists in PS were intended for an average 1st year to handle, not for this mutated abnomation that we have here. So will he act stupid in classes so he could stay in his own age group? Kill troll with his eyes closed? Suffocate Quirrel with his fart?

No, the only thing we'll see when Harry reaches Hogwarts will be the endless swamp of pre-teen character interaction. As soon as Harry catches scent of a potential super friend or future love interest (=soul mate), we can kiss any future notion of magical training goodbye. From that point onward, Harry will gradually (or not so gradually) turn into a sniveling pussy, who's desperately trying to learn how to interact with other kids, eventually forming his own pack of mini-Marauders, after which he'll proceed to use his awesome powers for turning other kids' hair blue or some other shit like that.

I don't want to read that. I don't think the author would want to write that either, but at this point, I honestly don't see how could we expect anything else.

With better planing and some restraint on author's part, this could have been a solid AU story; a bit cliched and averagely written, but enjoyable nonetheless. But after making 9 year old Harry stronger then Dumbledore, the only thing I can see for this story is slow decline, until it is either rewritten or abandoned.

My mark: 3/5 with downward tendency. Good enough for the bin, I guess.

Definitely binworthy. The grammar and spelling are decent, but the story its self sucks and is in a downward spiral.

Ip82 has seen the major flaw in the story. One answer is to have Harry fight unbeatable foes, prejudice, corruption, etc.

The story improves around chapter 7-8, and the "trunk" is supposedly like that so that Harry may realise how much he enjoys being with people and being outdoors.

Around hapter 8-9 he tones down the magic and starts being with people his age, going to school and the like.

I happen to like the story, the idea is overdone but I still like it so I'll give it a 4/5

Wow what trash! I guess it's fitting that this fic has found it's place in DLP's Trash Bin. I read the first 4 chapters fully but then i started mearly scanning the next few before it became to much. Neither entertaining, constructed in anyway, and full of parts that exceed most if not all super/powerful/knowledgable Harry fic out there.

2/5 tops, and in noway will it increase.
