    Thats a stupid bet.

It's also damned good with white sauce and some charcoal-grilled chicken...

I'm not going to bitch about this thing, as both my major objections were individually harped on for about 10 pages. All I ask is, (assuming you're exams are done, if not then I know the answer) what are the odds on an update?

My guess is when he damn well feels like it.

Let him work, sub-par crap that's rushed, filled with spelling and gammatical errors is not what I would want to read.

I'll have time on Saturday (which is tomorrow, as i post this) to sit down and write. There's a bit of medical technicalities I want to understand better before using them.

EDIT: Yeah, might've overreacted there. Its been an interesting couple days.

MrJoe, thank you for your response; I look forward to the next chapter whenever it may appear.

I think (though I may be wrong) that Tinn is studying something medical, so if she's around the forum or on IRC it might be worth asking.

I tried to search for Fettucini on ff.net but there is no result, was your account deleted or did you just change your name again?

If true, it would be a shame, as many of us were enjoying the story.

While KiP had its flaws (and honestly, what story doesn't?) like A Second Chance at Life, it wasn't really the sort of story the community should be targeting for chasing off the inter-webs.

I'd always hoped the author's response to criticism, which made the story almost seem like a self-insert, indicated he was in on the joke, but perhaps not.

    Okay.

So anyway, about Blaise's post on the Rachmaninoff Concerti, I'm assuming you meant the Third, because it doesn't make sense to use the others as examples.

The youngest pianist to have performed it was Sean Bennett, at 13. Following him was Dimitri Sgourous. Both of their performances were on Youtube. Accepting your definition of playing, you'd still have to omit the second half of your statement.

You know, that part about "playing as skillfully as a similarly skilled adult". Playing it at 13 is already shattering - enough to win Mr. Bennett a Steinway free of charge, but I think you would agree with me that if you only take technique into account, they play at a very slow tempo. Of course, I found clips of only the third movement, so maybe they got tired, etc.

Or maybe, FF.net decided to take it down.

After all, some stories have been taken down for less.

In the past, has ff.net generally removed offending works or blown away accounts altogether?

Another alternative is that their database is fookered and his account is not accessible. I know I haven't received an email alert or PM from their site in several days and, despite my queries, I've received no communication on whether they'll ever get around to fixing it for me.

They have taken down stories that have had complaints. I think one of Shezzas stories was taken down. Point is, stories have been taken down if they had complaints. And with a story with so many opinion based points, it was bound to get complaints.

Yeah, I have that problem too. Thing is, I don't get it with every story but only Jberns and a few other writers.
