The author must have got quite irritated. It wasn't FFN that took down his stories, he did it himself. Do a search for "Fettucini site:fanfiction.net" on Google, all you find is an almost empty account with the name Oblong.

 

God dammit! I was right in the middle of the fic when it was pulled! Fuck, that's annoying. I actually liked it. Really, you just have to suspend your disbelief and read it as a parody to make it enjoyable. Or at least, you did...

Well that sucks. And only four days ago he was saying:

I'm thinking those five chapters (hopefully) within the month may be out the window.

Anyone think the author just had a hissyfit and is going to regret taking his stories down pretty soon here?

Well damn...this was an unpleasant surprise. For my issues with the story (which were pretty much the same as everyone's), I still enjoyed it way more than I focused on the things I thought were wrong. It seems unlikely he took it down because of the people here trashing his story. For one it had way more reviews from people telling him the enjoyed it & he could always just ignore this forum if he felt like it. It is interesting to note how the tone of the posts has completely changed since it's been pulled.

But that's just speculation...all we can do is wait & see what the word is.

Remus highly irritates me in this fic. The nickname he has for Harry just ticks me- "Lucky"?! Chrissake, that's just cruel, plain and simple. And he's too immature for my liking, all the pranking and nonsense he does.

And of course, the whole notion of Harry "jamming" with Lily just makes me cringe.

edit: why would he have deleted it, I wonder? Revamping?

 

Well, if he did take it down, does anyone else find it funny that he kept saying that he wrote the story for himself and then takes it down?

EDIT: The fact that he was online earlier today and saying nothing could mean he did take it down.

 

Meh even if he did I'm not that disappointed, it just lost all direction and became pretty monotonous. The only thing that was really good about it was the update rate and when that waned so did my interest.

 

If you wouldn't mind, could you email it to me? I just started reading this story the day before yesterday and got up to "rat hunt" I think the chapter was called, before it got deleted.

Hopefully its just a error on the sites part, because I was really enjoyig the story so far.

Same here. It's rare to see a semi-decent story in a fandom that's made of a lot of fail.

I liked the fic, and I'm disappointed that it's gone, but author throwing a tantrum because he can't take criticism, and then can't take criticism of the fact that he can't take criticism, is very lulzy.

I predict a Master Eldryn level of faggotry approaching.

 

Authors who delete their stories with no good reason do not deserve a higher rating than 1/5, so I changed my vote on this thread.

 

For my part, I'm more pissed that this author deleted Puppet Master Naruto, which I liked more than KIP. KIP seemed too AU and too Super!Harry for my tastes, especially the Elder Wand bullshit at the beginning.

But KIP was fine in small doses, and the fact that the author deleted his entire profile pisses me off a little.

But I still say that Puppet Master Naruto was better. Perpaps the best Naruto story involving a strong Naruto who used puppets. If he had deleted KIP but kept the Naruto story, I would be happier.

I gotta admit I like the fic. If he took it down he is so full of BS its a miracle he hasnt exploded after all that talk about how opinions didnt both him.

PMN was like food more than a year, for me anyway. KIP was good and all but was nothing compared to PMN
