I didn't ask the same question. They may look similar, but they have entirely different implications to them.

Maybe, I over assumed how much scum would really gain from it. But from my perspective, there's a lot to gain from that one question of yours that would come more from a scum perspective.

I don't feel very strongly about what I've thought of as potentially town indicative thus far, but if inquiring minds must know~

This is a very different Fluff than I've ever seen. Despite the potential for coaching I think he's likely town, as I think it's easier to make that kind of playstyle change during a towngame.

I've been thinking a lot about whether there is anything to get from Palindrome's posts. The attitude in {#160, #164, #167} is a little town to me because it's so assertive and yet hypocritical in complaining about spam while repeatedly making essentially contentless posts. There's easier ways to blend in, e.g. emphasizing theory questions rather than sticking to one's own guns on theory.

 

1) I wouldn't call it stilted. More distracted from the thread at the time than anything else, and looking for people to talk to. I dunno how phoneposting would change anything, but then again it's been a long time since I last phone-posted.

2) ??? I said "town feeling". My D1 has always been based on feelings and gut instincts, unless there's a serious slip. No hard reads.

3) It could very well be both. But I'm not betting my money on that as of right now. I wouldn't be against lynching one of them today though.

 

Regarding point 2, would you mind elaborating on that feeling then, in reference specifically to what he's done in this game?

Regarding point 3, to be clear - you said you feel there's 1 scum between Jarikov/Majube, but when you explained why you feel that way to Zenzao it sounded more like reasoning one would give for scumreading Jarikov (possibly with Majube). What am I misunderstanding, if anything?

It's the way he entered the game and the way he subsequently poked at people. I dunno how better to explain it. Might just be a me thing.

I said something along the lines of "Their interactions feel planned". Essentially what I meant was that their banter felt contrived. There's two worlds there. First scenario, one of them is scum and was coached into buddying a new player (speaking from personal experience, buddying a new player tends to work pretty well as scum because newer players don't recognize the buddying and just think that they're agreeing with another person, and from a town pov it seems like the other person is town too), or they are both scum and planned it together.

I'm more inclined to believe it's the former rather than the latter, based on what happened, but shrug.
