I think the artist was more interested in the character similarities than physical ones (granted, it's still not quite right, but more so than physically). Also no, it isn't supposed to be Molly - either Weasley or Carpenter.

 

Obvious insert of HP chars into Dresden roles is obvious. Chill out, Portus. The artist is (I think) the lady who basically runs the DF boards over at jim-butcher.com. Also drew the Alera map.

Eh, I agree with Portus. It's a sad attempt at a meme/cool picture, as other than the two protagonist sharing the name Harry, they aren't really that alike at all, other than generic Hero attributes. All because it's drawn by some quasi-important lady, doesn't legitimize it as anything but retarded, and I'm saying this while realizing that it's not meant to be taken seriously.

With very, VERY few exceptions, I hate when people draw book and/or movie characters in this stupid cutesy style. It's like every dumbass with a drawing program has a hard-on to drop Precious Moments into their favorite fandom.

It might've begun earlier, but the first time I remember seeing this shit was Disney and Looney Tunes "babies" - I *still* want to murder whoever came up with that.

It cheapens whatever story you do it to, and that includes YA books like Harry Potter. Can you imagine this kind of garbage turning its attention to, oh, say Moby Dick, or Heart of Darkness? 1984?
