All the talk earlier about fanfiction's so far out there that they're closer to original fiction reminded me of this series. Yes it's Harry/Ginny. Feel free to avoid this as you may not like it. But it's a pretty dern creative and well-written long series post-Voldie. Tons of original characters, probably more so than canon characters. Harry starts as a Ranger, sort of international super-spy heroes for hire, etc... He's respected for defeating Voldemort, but not on a pedestal versus his fellow Rangers or anything.

This series doesn't have a ton of gag-inducing fluff, but the shorter interlude fic "Union" is about the wedding. Harry is definitely supered a bit, but some of it is gradual. Not the usual wake up overnight with a magical maturity.

I've not finished reading "Wolfe's Bane." I read about a half dozen chapters of it, but got tired of waiting for updates like a year and a half ago. Since then I just haven't gotten around to it. But I did read the other three before getting to it, and while not a series for everyone, I did enjoy it.

But if you want over 600,000 words of a well-written series, this is worth a look. Fair warning is that there is an OC who's just about as supered as Harry. And a glut of original characters in this. Yes, I know it's Harry and Ginny, but they are adults. This isn't twelve year old stalker, sticking her elbow in the butter dish school girl shoot me in the head romance. They're adults, post-Hogwarts, post-Voldemort.

I'm saying all these things now, so only those interested will bother to read the series in hopes of avoiding poorly spelled flames about Ginny. Though those can be fun too.

I read this series before but I never liked it, I forced myself to read the first two stories but I couldent bring myself to continue after that. I liked the story in the beginning but I lost intrest when the evil harry who was basiclly a copy of voldemort arrived.

I read a little of the first story,I liked the whole concept of the Ranger thing.I didn't even know there was Romance,I hoped it wasn't,then next thing you know I checked to see the last of the series to see who he ended up with.HP/GW,I stopped reading after that,I was hoping it would be a HP/OC since the author had all those OC characters to pick.

I read this set a long time ago, and I remember thinking that the first story was really good, but after that it seemed as though the focus went to romance rather than anything else.

However, this author came up with some really good, original concepts, such as the artifacts and the other dimension.

In conclusion, this is a really good set of fics for the first 300,000-400,000 words, but the author kept on writing and it seems that he/she ran out of ideas.

This Harry is such an angsty moron. "Oh woe is me, If Ginny won't love me then I just want her to be happy!" Ugh, what a faggot. I couldn't get past chapter 9. To be fair though, it might be less gay later.

Its good, if not sappy like some twisted soap opera at times. Seriously be Wolfe's bane there are how many childern of rangers that are allready old enough to be dating? There must be about fifty romance subplots.
