New here and when i saw this fic mentioned here....

I can honestly say i read the whole damn thing and promptly deleted it from my favorites. I agree with the statement that it started good but then it just progressively got worse. There was exactly one chapter where there was even a mention of Harry/Tonks in this fic and in that chapter he drove her insane or something.

 

I agree but to me this fic is still pretty good and is still in my favorites. Like I stated earlier I have no eye for quality and need this stuff pointed out to me. I keep this story to remind m of the happy days of good old bloodshed and war.

Anyways, I have always enjoyed this story. This type is one of my guilty pleasures; a super-powerful Harry fubar-ing everybody in a world unrecognizable as HP. While I admit that it is totally unrealistic, I still enjoy it.

 

I'm going to agree with everyone else who says this story started off awesome and then totally degenerated, and I wonder why it went in that direction. It seems completely incongruous that an evangelical would have a story like this; A couple sets of aunts and uncles on my moms side are evagelicals and they don't let their kids even read HP, much less spend countless hours writing a deranged fan fic. I would expect someone of his particular leaning try to mold HP into the cliche fantasy plotline, with Harry as a parallel with Jesus and the whole thing being an extended parable or allegory for the saving of sins or the resurrection or some similar poppycock. Very strange indeed...

 

I have to say I liked it through the entire fic. I, as well, took one look at his profile, left him a giant flame, and then read it. I was pleasantly surprised that it was practically the only story where he commands giant armies of people and creates a new law system. It also had a lot of the magic theory that I yearn for, and a lot of AU themes that were pretty original. In retrospect, it does seem kind of like a rip off of World of Warcraft, but a ripoff that I enjoy greatly. I was, however, disappointed by Voldemort and Dumbledore's impotence in the story-- the meanest of Harry's soldier's could've taken down Voldemort with both hands tied behind his back, operating his flamethrower with his fucking toes.

Anyways, after he updated it, I tried to review it, and I realized that he had blocked me. I looked at his email, and sent him an email saying, "Hi, I'm JJ, you blocked me, I really like your new chapter, but you misspell 'world' here are 'wrold'. I think you should get a beta." Yeah, he blocked me from his email address too.

To make a long story short, good fic, douchebag author.
