Not fan fiction, but Dumbledores death left me lost for words. I'd hoped that the sequel would revive him somehow, but after reading Deathly Hallows, I was glad things ended the way they did.

I have certainly gotten misty eyed, but for some reason I cannot recall what fic I was reading. I don't think I have ever full on cried though.

My eyes stream every time I hear the "Leaving Hogwarts" theme. That's childhood right there, Monica.

Otherwise? Just the odd leaky lid.

I am not the most emotinal type out there, but I had a hard time trying not to cry too much while I was reading the final chapters of 'A Study in Magic'. I guess Harry's desperation and John's will to help her son really got me.

I have never actually cried after reading a story, but I have laughed till there were tears leaking from my eyes.

    I think that counts?

For example, after reading Snape's Worst Nightmare- (Draco664)

Somehow, the seven Weasley siblings have children that are born during the period of time that allows them to attend Hogwarts the same year, with 3 Potters and 9 Weasleys joining Gryffindor's ranks and doing their best to annoy the hell out of Snape and the Slytherins.

The plot is full of holes, but the pranks are excellent and some parts are very funny.

Another hilarious fic is Harry Potter and the Elves Most Fabulous By SteelBadger

Elfling!Harry. Except not. Jaded and cynical Master Auror Harry Potter gets sent to Arda to relive his non-existent childhood. Childhood sucks. Rated M for language.

not very often but had it happen today, got a bit misty-eyed reading the epilogue to The Curse of Truth. happens mostly when the fic is written well enough that I invest in the character, although that doesn't quite explain why I used to cry at those old cell phone commercials

I recently re-read End of the Line, by shewhoguards, which definitely had me welling up at the end of a couple of the chapters.

Most of the times while reading fanfiction I don't cry. Maybe they get kind of teary, but at the very most only a few tears slip by if what I'm reading is incredibly depressing or makes me incredibly angry.

Cauterize really got to me when I first read it. I can't recall getting emotional about anything else.

I most of the timescry pretty much whenever a important character dies or suffers through something.

What I really find depressing doe is when I am reading a Fanfiction and I am so into it, only to discover it is incomplete or abandoned.

    Am I the only one?

I cry all the time at fanfiction and published fiction. That said, I am new to fanfiction so not totally sure how long this will last.
