    No thread for this yet?

Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg do it again. From the people who brought you Band of Brothers comes a 10-part mini-series set in the Pacific theatre and based on the books "With the Old Breed" by Eugene Sledge and "Helmet for My Pillow" by Robert Leckie.

First episode aired on Sunday and I thought it was pretty good. They skipped the whole boot-camp episode like BoB did so we haven't really met the characters yet but hopefully they'll go into more character depth in the next few episodes.

There was one scene near the end there with one Japanese soldier that really made you say "Wow.. These aren't the fucking Germans anymore!"

I thought it was pretty good. I loved Band of Brothers so I've been waiting for this for a while.

Gonna watch it in a few hours. BoB is one of my all time favorite mini series. Can't wait to watch it.

A whole lot more action in the newest episode. The story telling is very well done. Very gripping and intense.
