The chapter was going off to such a slow start, but what a way to end it! So creepy, I love it!

Well, for certain the format can't stay the same anymore. There is no fucking way the Headmaster can overlook this.

I certainly hope so. Honestly, it undermines the whole point of Tsukune being a complete fucking boss and killing a character not unlucky tiers of power above him, but probably considered unkillable in the fandom, if she didn't really die.

Otherwise, I felt that in terms of character progression, he took a huge leap forward, then jumped back a bit. It does make me feel vindicated in proving my initial assessment of the whole fandom, there's a.good reason why the monsters are hiding, instead of the humans. Though, it does seem kind of sad, I just compared this situation to the holocaust, if the Jews (for some reason) said "it's a good thing these walls are so tall, otherwise I'd just have to kill all the Nazi myself." Maybe I'm biased because I'm in a holocaust study class.

'He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster.' - Friedrich Nietzche

The author has hinted at this before in the fic (eg. Tsukune's conscience after each kill), and this chapter really drove that home in terms of development. With his latest kill & their significance in the manga, it's like he's stepped over a line and is a stark opposite to the 'hero' Tsukune in the series. He'll probably fall farther (and her family is out there & might come sniffing around), but I have to wonder if he'll manage to turn himself around and what might instigate that.

The second part of that quote 'And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you.' makes me wonder if the author will try to apply that as well; and I hope he does it in a way that's more significant than just him meeting a bigger fish. Mind you, I never studied Nietzche, so the entire quote has meaning that's above my understanding...

Shit yes this chapter was great. This story just gets better and better. I don't actually know how far Tsukune can go, his character really can't bend past certain points. It'd make sense for his transfer to go through and he simply escapes, but if the story continues he might go so far as to join Hokuto or become a Youkai in the same manner. Though since the two's philosophies are quite opposed Hokuto could end up an antagonist.

I'm just excited to see where this story goes. Its a rare story that can do that.

Okay then, that was pretty awesome. Observing his character deconstruction is quite intriguing.

As someone who's not very familiar with Rosario, what did Tsukune see?

    Seriously.

Moka likes Tsukune and wants to confess to him.

Her friends push her into him, he accidentally removes the rosario.

    Inner Moka acts as normal.

Tsukune stakes Inner Moka, also killing Outer Moka.

Moka dies in underwater, constantly in pain, drowning with a stake through her heart.

Not cool. She isn't my favorite character by far, but seriously. :|

Probably a member of the swimming club. If I remember correctly, the school had mermaid students who are part of the swimming club.

Anyway, I wonder how Moka's family will react once they find out of their kind got killed by a human. It should provide a interesting story arc.

Less a story arc and more a case of inescapable death for Tsukune.

I totally called the Moka part - even how she'd die - when I was reading the last chapter. I thought, okay, this guy is going straight through most of the R+V character pile, so how does this end? Only one option. And only one believable way for Tsukuno to do it. (The stake part was something I didn't expect, though.)

Now that the most badass monster has been done away with, I think the author is going to focus on the ramifications of Tsukune's actions. Killing a vampire? He's big news - and a more than cursory glance at his past is going to blast open a can of worms...

There was somebody on TFF saying that the Rosario functions as a sort of storage space for the unused personality. There was the thought that since Inner Moka was killed while in control, Outer Moka is stuck in the Rosario...

Ya, that's pretty much how it is. If you're up to date on the R+V II Manga it explains how
Moka's mother copied her own personality and placed it within the rosario to overlay on Moka's personality in order to hide Moka from her psychotic adopted sister, Akuha.

Sounds dumb. In fact, a lot of R+V is dumb, but the school arc was at least entertaining. The 'second season' or whatever its called is pretty stupid.

So, I'm curious as to how Tsukune is going to keep up his kill count after this. Up to this point, the majority of his wins have been because his enemies let him choose the grounds of the fight and that they underestimate him. But he just killed a vampire, the in-series God!Sue race that is better than everyone else. NO-ONE is going to take chances or underestimate him anymore. And there goes his advantage. Sure, monsters will be afraid of him because of his accomplishments, but if anyone learns he's human, or they get sufficiently pissed off, his pasty human ass is a smear of strawberry jelly on the ground in two seconds.

Kinda enjoyed the Moka part. The whole vampire race, and Moka in particular, just pissed me off with its whole "I am a vampire. I am God. Fear me and tremble in terror of my name, for none can defeat me!" attitude. Every time she uttered the phrase 'You need to know your place', I wanted Tsukune (or anybody) to keep the pimp hand strong and reply 'Bitch, learn yours!'. So seing her get her comeuppance was satisfying.

Got it in one, Berk. The whole of season 2 is grossly disappointing, actually, considering the first wasn't exactly great maybe it isn't so disappointing. Though it does have few neat bits like showing that there are monsters out there that can fight evenly with and beat the shit out of vampires. It's more that the monsters in the school just suck so much balls that none of them could ever hope to fight a vampire. Season 2 has quite a few monsters that come in and kick Moka's ass from outside of the school - one of which is nothing more than a common criminal.
