Maybe I've been playing decks that are aggressive enough to shut down Jade decks before they get rolling, but I can't help but feel that the early game tempo those decks give up is far too punishing. Or maybe people are just playing very greedy decks at the start of an expansion. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

 

There is also the very real possibility that those decks you faced only had part of the optimal number of cards for that deck to be as effective as it can.

 

No control deck can beat Jade Druid. If you don't remove their minions, they'll snowball, and you don't have enough removals to get rid of infinite golems...

 

And I hate this game again... Honestly fuck pirate warrior and fuck blizz for enabling this smorking nonsense.

 

I went on a winstreak with Reno Mage from 20 to 12 today. Deck seems really strong, especially vs shaman and pirate warrior. Only 2 losses to greedier Reno Priests.

 

I had a pretty cool Burgle earlier upon jumping to ladder at the start of the season.



Now I obviously couldn't activate Raza, but it's the thought that counts.

 

Every single paladin I've played thus far starts the game with that 1+/1+ to hand card. Soulcrushing shit.

After trying it out I can say that I was wrong, Jade druid is actually very strong. It's just that the people I've been playing against do stupid things like Turn 1 Jade Idol to shuffle and put themselves so far behind in tempo they can't recover. Best way to play the deck is to fight really hard for early board control and let the jade scaling win the game passively, in my opinion.

 

Miracle rogue with buccaneers/deckhands/patches to thin deck and give early game is really, really strong.

 

What Eidolonic said. Red Mana Wyrms are also a little bit nuts.

 

Savjz has been farming for a while in rank 2 legend as dragon reno priest, beating pirate warriors again and again for rank 1 but staying rank 2 even after a lot of wins. He literally hasn't met anything that isn't pirate warrior in the last hour I watched him. His stream was already some 9 hours into it.

His final boss? Thijs, playing the new Taunt Warrior with buffs. Savj wins and gets Rank 1 after an amazing game. Included Malygos'd Holy Nova and everything. I'd say watch the vod if you can.

 

And as a reward for grinding against all the pirate warriors he gets 500+ dollars in donations and over 200 subscriptions. Not bad.

 

He spent some 25 minutes processing donations, subs and cheers. He couldn't read them out fast enough.

On the other hand, something like that better be coming after such a long grind against Pirate Warriors.

 

I just made a reno mage deck and oh man is it fun. I think the highlight was cabaling and getting 3 Pyro blasts from it..... I started laughing like a mad man to the point where my buddy starts spectatingredients to see what's going on and he starts laughing for like 5 mins.... so good
...

 

I keep running into Kazakus priests, as in Reno priests without Reno. Is this a thing now?

Or am I just super lucky, as it has happened 5 times now.

 

How do you know they don't have Reno?

 

Most Kazakus lists do run Reno - why wouldn't they? Maybe you killed them without them drawing Reno?

 

IDK. all games were 10+ turns and all decks made decent use of cleric, so they went through a good portion of their deck. But it might just be that I got lucky 5 times in a row...

 

I'm fucked this expansion. No dust for better decks, packs were meh at best (Wickerflame, Aya, crafted Don), and my average arena run over thel ast 6 runs is 2-3 with dust-gold rewards, and when I went 4-3 for once, I had 50 gold and 5 dust because blizzard's fucking idea to have fucking common cards be a common reward in arena.
