The cup will probably come into play too. The cross might but Im gonna say that beyond maybe the cup and the swords there wont be much. I still say its not the items themselves that have the power but the wielders faith acting through the items. Like its Micheals faith in god that gives the sword its power not the sword itself. Micheal says that earlier that without the right intentions it is just another sword.

 

You got to wonder, is Butcher trying to make some kind of statement about Christianity here.

The swords of the cross are based on implements used to torture there God, yet their used by the knights to fight evil with reverence.

If anything I would have thought those kind of implements would be used by the Denarians.

But then again, Christians worship a symbol of torture and death for their god... thats hardly logical.

And yes I know the spiel, died for our sins.... so we could all go to heaven.

still doesn't mean that If I were the guy I wouldn't look on those things with revulsion. But then again, I ain't no son of God...
