Actually the first thing that came to my mind was Hermione(a.k.a. Mione or Hermi) and Ginny - here I am proud to present you Germi !!! o_0 ?

A new excelent genetic result. The new product is featuring red bushy hair, big front teeth, boyish body and of course temperament of a Weasley wrapped in bookworm's mind. Oh the horror!

But I'm going to far from the topic...

I see a tread topic " Veela or Metamorphmagus? (Why not both?)" and while I'm quite sure that it will be a small discussion opened by a wanker suggesting yet another story featuring wishfulfillment!Harry getting laid with every possible girl/woman from the fic world or better why not having them all together at once, still I found myself checking out the posts.

While reading, the urge to comment on the issue and scream out my frustration with the ridiculous amount of rubbish that is suggested and written these days, I see that nobody had post on that topic for close to two weeks now, so I decided to start a new thread.

It seems to me that these days, the Harry/Ginny and Harry/Hermione pairings are slowly loosing ground and popularity among the "Fanboyish" readers, to be replaced with relations between our very own Captain Americ... *cough* Harry... Harry Potter and simply any girl older than 16...

Why!? Is this simply due to the fact that those same "Fanboyish" readers have grown older and have opened their eyes to see that while the girls their age are easy accessible but not as attractive as the older and much more desirable women which are simply way to far out of their league, but not Harry Potter's of course or simply they grew tired of somehow creating an image of a god like woman out of the poor Weasley girl who simply lacks anything that a young kid wants in his wet dreams.

I recall some time ago when somebody was on the path to lead a fight to take down the "the horrible DLP and his selfish bastards of members and reviewers" and for some time now I've been wondering - would anyone ever start the fight of freeing the fanfic world form the above mentioned fanboys, then their very close to way of thinking fangirls friends and finally slash fics... and actually manage to push it even to the end!?

Anyways, if I ever saw a fic with Gimione/Herminny, I would stop reading HP fanfiction altogether.

Or for a week at least. Maybe.

I foubt the fight against fanboys is one that we could ever win so why bother? We stick to our comfortably elitist corner of the fandom, they wallow in pig shit.

And making Ginny into a metamorphmagus (rather than a short-order cook/meat-morphmagus). Then something about fanboys and wet dreams and his fantasies about older women that I didn't quite catch.

@OP: Germi is pretty clever, I liked that. (Almost as much as your avatar--reminds me of an ex-girlfriend of mine).

But please excuse the ignorant non-native English speaker for trying your skills in understanding unorganized thoughts mixed with East European variation of English.

While my spoken English is on somewhat understandable level - my written skills are not... obviously... You remember Viktor Krum? I should say no more.

Though the "Flonks" thing simply made me wonder how far somebody would go to get the best fuck for our boy hero... a poor attempt of questioning most authors motives behind pairing the Potter boy with girls(including their various gene upgraded versions) older than him and yet for the small differences of using other names and numbers for the age we still get as final result another harry/ginny pairing...

... I'm already on my way to sign up for an English language course...

Very philosophical question.

My take is this, most "replacement" girls for Hermione or Ginny used by authors try to avoid their prominent characteristics, i.e. Know-it-all, book-genius, teeth-in-vagina, or in Ginny's case as fannon portrays here: overbearing, slap-happy, girl-power, soul-bond -ishness.

At least that would partially be my motivation.

Or wish fulfillment, definitely that, if only I had my own Demon Queen!
