One of the best H/Hr fanfic I have ever read. The characters are very close to canon and there is no character bashing. The plot and characterizations are well done.

Set during Harry's sixth year, it contains an alternative take on how H/Hr could have happened in the books. Fully canon compatible yet different from it, makes you feel as if its something JKR herself would have written!

The story is indeed well written and enjoyable. There is no angst, but expect a bit of fluff.

You know, you don't have to post every single story you read into review. It's an interesting take on book six, mostly because the author hasn't even read book six. And by interesting, I mean not interesting.

 

I don't post every fic I read. I only post fics that have good chance of making it to the Library. Give this fic a chance because its a very good H/Hr romance fic.

 

There are two possibilities (1) what you like is completely not what I like (2) you should read more stories before recommending.

I remember it as typical oneshot by rapid H/Hr shipper irritated that Rowling decide to do something else rather than his OTP in canon, stretched into 19 chapters.

1.1/5 from somebody that usually likes any story with Hermione as main character. I intended 1/5 but according to my check of reviews that I posted Hermione's parents are not depicted as completely brainless idiots.

Alexx, can you try posting stuff in "Almost recommended"? I also spammed Review Board with multiple threads, but at least majority of my stuff is likely to reach the Library (try posting only stuff that was mentioned on DLP and not described as a bad one).

It seems that your predictions are of rather poor quality - your current threads: 2 to the Rubbish Bin, 4 to the Recycling Bin, 0 to the Library.

 

Huh, I remembered it being a not very good one-shot. Maybe I just failed to make it to the end of the first chapter.

I agree with Bulwersator and Anarchy - it appears you are on some sort of spree to see who can post most the stories in For Review. That's not bad in itself, except for the tiny problem that most, no all of the stories you put up are shit. I didn't even have to read this one to know it's crap (the title says it all) but I did, and only confirmed it's crap.

Do us a favor and familiarize yourself with the quality of the stories already in the Library.

As to the story itself - crap. A simple excerpt here to prove my point

And also yeah, Bulwersator already mentioned it - the story currently has 5 votes and a perfect average of 1.00, which either implies you didn't vote at all, or you voted it 1/5 so why pretend it's 4/5 material? Do us a favor and stop putting stories up for a while.

Stoped reading after second chapter, when Harry started apologizing to Hermione for following the Half-Blood Prince book. And, coupled with the pseudo-psychoanalysis of Hermione done by Lavender, from previous chapter, this story is just bad.

I managed to get to chapter 14 before I had to just give up and skip to the last few chapters. Holy fuck, it gets a lot worse. This is a perfect example of a story that shouldn't be more then a one shot.

Some of things annoying about this story:

- The POV switches that occur in mid paragraph that are sometimes just a sentence long.

- The downright terrible nicknames they give each other when they get together. Hermione is 'My Lady' and Harry 'My Captain'. They call each other that so many fucking times.

- The OCs are downright terrible. They serve no purpose and are extremely boring. Fay and Clara, girls who magically out of nowhere as Hermione's dorm mates. Ron has never heard of them, but Harry does. Known them since 1st year.

- Harry is suddenly better then Hermione in Potions when they realize they like each other. He's also just gets generally smarter.

- Harry is a prude that doesn't want to kiss until the first date. I wouldn't mind this if there wasn't evidence to the contrary.

- Hermione is a total bitch.

There is one thing I liked about this story that gets fucked with in the end.
Luna gets to have a little action with Harry, and is a bit of a bitch to Hermione. Completely deserved, I might add. Oh, and Ron is handled better then expected.

2/5 Because there are some things the Author does a pretty decent job. Well, until he/she screws it up.
