Oh fuck them. Nathan dies and the latin chick lives? Bullshit. They should have let her die, and have Peter inject Nathan with his own blood or something.

I knew that they were going to kill off two characters from last season as soon as they said 'two heroes will fall', but I was hoping for someone like Claire. They should have killed off two of the newbies, imo, but that's because I don't really like any of them except Elle. I don't really care that Nikki died.

I, too, am getting really bored with the New Orleans storyline. Monica's a dumbass, and Micah kind of was too.

I like Sylar and Hiro in this episode, but I think that it was really stupid of him to leave Adam alive. I have a feeling that they're setting the stage for Adam and Sylar to team up, which I think looks really interesting.

Overall, it was a solid enough episode. Nothing like last season's finales, but it's getting better.

Why do you blame the strike? I think this episode was finished before the strike began, though I could be wrong. You may feel free to blame bad episodes and crappy future movies on the writer's strike (and the AMTPT's dumbassedness) if it doesn't end soon, because of them being rushed into production (before the SAG and DGA's contract runs out in June/July) and the lack of final revisions.

From Watch With Kristen on E online...

According to Heroes insiders, Niki is not expected to return to the show. But her devilish alter ego Jessica? Oh yeah, we'll see her as soon as the show comes back to the beloved airwaves, when the strike is through! At least, that's the current plan according to sources, who tell me producers had "done all they could do" with Niki. Micah is not gonna be happy. But at least he'll have Monica...
She also mentioned that Adam will most likely be back and the producers are up in the air about Nathan being dead.

So what is the point of killing characters when all they are going to do is come back from the dead? It takes away from the value of the show. [IMG]

You kill Nathan, who is one of the better characters on the show, it makes quite an unexpected surprise, and gives us a nice cliffhanger for the next Volume as to what consequences his death will bring. Then you just bring him back as if he never died. WTF?

Same thing with Nikki she dies in a fire, and then her alter ego pops right back. If someone dies they usually stay dead, it is one of the most obvious things out there, but a concept that the Heroes writing team does not get. Having said that I kinda like Jessica as we don't get the whiny cunt that is Nikki.

It was obvious Adam was going to come back, that is the only reason he was buried alive otherwise Hiro would have done the smart thing and shoot him in the head or cut of his head. I'm kind of disappointed with Adam being so similar to Ra Al Ghul, they are both immortal and they both want to destroy humanity. I mean after 400 years of living that is the best you can come up with as a goal.

P.S- Anlun Tim Kring, the creator of Heroes, basically admitted Volume 2 stunk.

micha/monica/nikki/maya/ need to go . West sucks, Claire's acting keeps getting worse. Peter needs to step it up, I had hopes for his character several times.

The actor that plays Sylar keeps getting fucking better and better. It's disgusting how good that guy is.

I think Angela Petrelli was reffering to Peter's reaction towards The Company after his brother's death when she said you have now opened "Pandora's Box". If Nathan's death doesn't make Peter a badass, then I don't think we will ever see a badass Peter.

I think that is the only positive coming out of the strike. Zachary Quinto(Sylar) is supposed to play Spock in the upcoming Star Trek movie, thus rendering him unavailable for most of Volume 3. However, with the writers strike stretching out Quinto should be back by the time production starts again for Heroes.

I think we also get a Nazi/The Company connection next volume as there is a distinct swastika on the bolt of the vault door.

There is no way they could possibly fuck up anything with the Nazis being involved. Is there?

Sylar makes this show so good. Zachary Quinto is a great actor; possibly the best on the series besides Nathan/Adrian Pasdar and that Adam/Kensei guy.. They way he delivers his lines and his manner and expressions are amazing. It was so cool how he just rolled his eyes before turning around and shooting Maya in the neck.

Now, all we need is Indiana Jones.

Sylar was definitely my favorite character this season. His power went from killing people with blunt objects, to shooting people, and finally ending up with his old powers. Was anyone else thinking about Popeye when Sylar pulled the can of spinach towards himself?

I blame the strike but not fully. I had read that the season was meant to be longer and the original finale was different, but because of the strike they had to cut out a lot, and change the ending. There was apparently supposed to be a villain in the New Orleans story line that would of tied in with the other stories and was cut. We were supposed to learn more, and I forgot what else.
I too read that the guy said season 2 sucked and I agree that the changes probably wouldn't have made that much of a difference, but I think it would of transitioned better. The main problem imo with this season is they spread themselves too thin, and what they had were story-lines with no point, i.e Claire and her gay boyfriend, and the Maya Alejandro story-line.

My one issue is they keep going around the question of whether Peters mom has a power. My friend thinks she doesn't I do, and its driving me crazy. I would also like to know if Peters dad had a power. Pretty much better backstory would of been nice.

When she touches people and tells them what to do, they do it.

Just a thought...Adam has to have been spreading his genes around a bit right? He can super heal...Claire can super heal...they're both Blondes.

What is he fuck O'l Mamma Petrelli?

Funnier yet would be if all Heroes were his progony.

Monica could have been nice if she was played out better.

I would love more backstory on all the company founders.

I heard Linderman is coming back in some TV mag.

Momma Petrelli said something about Hiro's dad, "not being lovers... in a long time anyway" or something to that effect. They could easily make it so all modern day 40 year old or younger Heroes were started by the Company folks, who all look 60+.

I hope they keep Nikki dead. That girl is the 2nd worst annoyance next to Claire. Her acting is just bad and she's pure eye candy. It was good to see Micha actually doing something with his power instead of acting like a typical stupid child that he isn't.

    No More Heroes Until Fall

    http://tv.ign.com/articles/851/851092p1.html

Fuck, I don't like waiting for more Sylar goodness until September, but I do agree with Tim Kring about not just shooting three episodes, and robbing us of a satisfying story "arc", especially one with Sylar being prominent. My hope is that with the extra time the Heroes writers can write something much better than the train wreck that was the Second Volume.

Heroes is back for Season 3. The first two episodes premiered on NBC Monday night. You can probably catch them on NBC.com or anywhere else on the internet where they might have shows. Watching the first two episodes I was given hope and disappointed at the same time.

The good news is that they are going far away from Season 2's snail pace, but the bad news is that they are now moving the episodes along too fast. For example, Mohinder discovers a solution to give powers to anyone, and injects himself with it without any testing. This should have been a gradual process not something he should have done in the first episode.

The second major thing I had a problem with is some of the concepts of Claire's storyline. Granted this year's storyline is much better than last year's but there are still some problems. I get that she freaks out when she can't feel anything, but did the writers really need to provide us with all those cheesy poetic lines. The concept of her storyline is good, and I can understand it, but her dialogue and her actions weren't what led me to care for her character.

I will stay on point with Claire's storyline with another problem. What was up with HRG's reaction to Claire's predicament? He found out from Sylar that he had ripped her skull open, and then he was knocked unconscious. When he goes back home, instead of seeking out his traumatized daughter he looks through his shit on the computer and looks for his files. Your daughter (they did a marvelous job of establishing their relationhip in Season 1) just had her head sliced upon by a serial killer, and who knows what he might have done to her, but you focus on looking for your files. I know earlier in the episode the mom asked her all this shit, but how does Noah know all this. This is what I was I was talking about with pacing issues.

I still hate Ando, but the Hiro and speedster chick's storyline has some potential. Nathan finding God, and then Linderman turning out to be a figment of his imagination has me intrigued. I feel that his storyline is one which is going to be central to the future of the Heroes.

The best part of both episodes was once again Sylar. Without him I doubt I would ever turn into this show. He starts out with taking Claire's power and then leaves her emotionless. Then he destroys two more of the Company's agents (I liked the dash cam thing). Then to finish his revenge on the Company and further his collection he infiltrates Level 5, and tries to take the powers of all the major guys. Sylar, while being the villain is also the most logical character on the show. At least with his character you know what his motivations are for his actions.

I really have no clue what to say about the fact that Sylar might turn out to be a Petrelli. I don't like it, but if they do something good with it I have no problem.

I look forward to seeing where they take the rest of the Season 3. It definitely has more potential than Season 2, but they still need to resolve some issues like the pacing.

Why did they have to use that timetravel storyline again? It kind of gets old with someone traveling in the future and seeing Armageddon or the other way around, someone coming back to change it.
It just creates so many logical problems. (Apart from the whole super-gene. ;))

For once I would just kind of like a linear plot without constant looks in the past or the future.

Nah the Butterfly stuff is cool, because it lets them do shit with really, really stretched logic.

They need to stop with folks seeing the same symbols everywhere, it's fucking old. Mama Petrelli's power sucks, Sylar is fucking awesome, and Future Peter goes from being badass to being a total bitch.

Just remember this is a different future Peter from the last one we saw. This future Peter's time line starts at the end of second season minus Nathan being shot. The other future Peter's time line started with New York City blowing up. The first time traveling Hiro came from a future where Sylar gets the regeneration first season.

I had a couple problems with the pilot (Sylar only making it to level 2 while 'The Human Flamethrower' made it to maximum security, and Nathan finding God, which never ends well in TVLand) but overall I enjoyed it.

As for Mohinder's (who's progressively gotten worse) instant power solution, I get the feeling adrenaline, while a factor, isn't the answer. His 'powers' involve super strength, reaction time, muscles, Spiderman-esque wall climbing, sex drive increase and weird acne. More like a constant, supercharged adrenline burst then superpowers.

His abilities are most likely based after cockroaches.

We don't know the Human Flamethrower's power level. For all we know he could (be over nine thousand!!!) destroy a city or something.

Did anyone else notice that "The German" was a total ripoff of Magneto?
