I think that was the base of the skull and not the actual brain.

But then again Peter had a chunk of glass in his head once and the second that popped out he came right.

Maybe the branch/glass didnt hit the power giving part of the brain

I think the power-giving part of the brain is located at the base of the skull probably near the brain stem which is why the glass/branch didn't kill them. Hell, I don't know. The writers probably don't either.

But Claire was different than the other, or so Sylar said.

That was the catalyst not her power.

I think sylar was reffering more to her immortality status or a hidden power she doesn't realize she is capable of. Like an off shoot of her healing ability.

I think we could all tell when she was talking about how she could be the catalyst it was a red herring.

Frankly I don't think the writers are going to address this special ness at all. Especially with the return of the good story tellers.

They'll probably gloss over it and claime time travel paradox. Same with how they forgot about that irish chick stuck in the alternate timeline.

    Heres an odd idea...

What would happen if He traveled to his younger self just before he traveled with the irish chick to the alternate future. Would he travel with them to the future he already prevented. Or would he travel to the future he already created by preventing the virus.

And if traveled to the future he created then would that mean he would change the past he already lived, since he never experienced the virus future loosing irish chick future.

    Time travel is complex...

Just keep flolwing that line of thought it starts to boggle the mind.

Ahhhhhhhhhh... It had its up, it had its downs, but that was the closest thing to Season 1 quality I've seen yet! Things are finally moving...

I'll admit this episode was pretty good. And I agree with kalas... that was fairly season 1 esque

Infact I've been waiting for exactly what the fugitives clip promised since the end of season 1.

I'm a little surprised hiro didn't get his powers back somehow... but I'm assuming ando will some how give him his powers back when he fires his supercharge beam at him.

I'm calling shenanigans on speedster though for being able to travel to the future and the past with ando's help.

I'm still scratching my head at that one.

I'll go with the traveling to the past bit, but being able to travel to the future seems like a stretch. What does she do, run backwards?

Also what happens if he touches a non hero?
Do they get powers, do there hearts explode with adrenalin?

Also, Hiro's dad seems kind of dumb now.

When your son grows up to look exactly like the guy who tried to destroy the formula ure guarding, for humanity's sake. When your son tells you he can travel though time and space.

you kind of draw parralels to the weird chef who said it was imperitive to destroy the formula.

Atleast destroy the formula when your son admits he travels through time.

I don't buy the whole I forgot scenario. I think I'd remember sword fighting a guy holding a baguet in one hand a priceless and possibly world destroying scrap of paper in his other.

Should I start watching this again? I lost interest around the puppeteer episode and couldn't get the motivation to start watching it again after that.

Read a summary of the season and watch the most recent episode...
The rest is pretty much crap.

We shall see what fugitives holds for us.

Did anyone notice if the cut on Peter's face is gone at the end of the episode? Not exactly sure if he has all his abilities back or not, the angles showed the other side of his face in the scene with Nathan.

I was wonderring that as well...

Though I don't know if he would heal that slice as they kept talking about Peter getting a scar when he had that stupid hair cut way back when.

I think this is them answering that and trying ot make peter look more bad ass with a scar.

Did anyone else notie the symbol on blue flame hillbilly guy.

His scar was in the shape of that so called RNA molecule.

Wow, you guys liked that episode? I thought it was crap. The writing was pretty bad and Sylar is a awful Jigsaw. Daphne time traveling made no sense whatsoever and now volume 4 looks like it's going to be a X-men rehash. Hell, all I'm waiting for is the Sentinals. And was anyone else reminded of Return of the Jedi when Parkman saw Mr. African Issac at the end. Please tell me I'm wasn't the only one humming the Ewok song they played at the end of the movie. Maybe on the DVD he'll be replaced by Hayden Christensen.

Read the summaries at TWoP and you'll be fine. Believe me, they're more entertaining than most of the season. Bryan Fuller has his work cut out for him.

The scene when sylar acquired the power to know if somebody is lying was so funny

Sylar: "Don't worry, this wont hurt a bit."
    -Pause-
    Sylar : "Got me".

    Epic.

Yep, It was still there, I made a point to check that, as it wouldn't have made sense if it disappeared since his father took all of his powers away and the formula would just give him back his original ability.

Does anyone else think Ando's power was lame? Even with his ability, he ends up as a side kick.

Also, Daphne runs so fast with his help that she can go forwards and backwards through time? WTF. I can see the going forward bit working, but backwards... Even if she could go backwards that way, how could she do both?

And how did Ando kill Hiro in the alternate future with his sucky ability?

Superman can do it, why cant Daphne. On the whole a pretty good episode, interesting how Peter failed to change the future as was his mission at the start of the series

I cannot believe they killed off Sylar

He's not, just out of action, if you recall the bit about when Claire got that stick shoved into her head.

I heard that it's been confirmed that Sylar is back for Volume 4 and the guy that plays Lionel Luther is going to be his dad.
