That's the thing! It's just soooo OTT! everyone turns out gay in most slash fics. I mean wtf? Do we pair every guy with a girl?

It gets really evil when they make it graphic.

Well, I just judge by the fact that most slash authors tend to be female, looking at their user profiles and ff.net handles. And I don't do femmeslash either. I dunno, I'm straight as can be, but the idea just doesn't do anything for me.

What I don't understand is why so many Dark!Harry stories have him being gay. I mean, what does being gay have to do with being dark or evil? I just don't get it. Do they think that being gay makes him some killer bad-ass dark wizard? :?

Femmslash isnt too bad but I'm not really into that either. I don't mind it when its 2 girl and Harry thou.

I think it has something to do with him not being normal and living outside the code of what is traditional. I'm guessing here.

by the way, Dark Syaoran, I LOVE your signature. :D

Actually more girls than you might think enjoy thinking about two guys humping each others brains out... They just aren't as vocal as guys are about seeing two girls getting it on.

So said an old friend of mine when I saw gay porn on her desktop when I was going to print out our lab report. I laughed my ass off though *after almost puking* :) This girl was like a serious prude, who woulda thunk it?

    It's always the quiet ones...

Girls are just a sexual as guys, just 2000 years of male dominated society has made them quiter about it.

Even funnier story though, I was at my friend Mark's house one day, and his gf left her backpack over there. Anyways, he needed to borrow one of her textbooks (this was last year mid-april) so he goes gets the textbook and this piece of paper falls out. It's a list of all the people she has had sex with divided into two colums... Girls and Guys. There were like 10 names in each column... And Mark was all the way at the bottom. I was laughing my ass off :)

A simple Rec'd fic turns into a discussion about sex/woman and slash, which has nothing to do with the story I wrote. *cry* I can't believe you guys. Does this happen a lot?

No worries. I'm sure it will get back on track in a few pages or so. Well, until Giovani or someone else comes up with another anecdote. :p

Well think of it this way... A simple discussion of my fic turns into a disgusting thread so vile it needed its own section of the forums...

But then again, the fic in question *was* Dumbledore's Office *Can't say the last word cuz Middy and Co. will come over here and kick my ass*.

What an odd fic this is. I read the whole thing, as it just seemed to suck me in.

You know those cliched fics where Harry gets raised by wolves, vampires, dark creatures, etc? Well, this one goes into immense detail about what it might be like for Harry to be raised as an animal.

When Harry is abused at age five, he accidentally apparates to safety in the Forbidden Forest. Having no other option, he is forced to adapt to life in the forest to survive. He basically becomes an animal. He is befriended by a dog, aptly named 'Dog,' as well as Firenze and a pack of wolves. He barely speaks English, and by age 8 is more animal than human.

He gets discovered by Dumbledore at one point (all the Hogwarts folks think of him as the 'wolf-demon' of the forest), but Harry, who no longer acknowledges that name, escapes again into the forest. He is forced to relocate to avoid the wizards, and that's sort of where it ends. He's taken in by a 'shaman' in another forest, but he's still only eight years old when the story was abandoned.

It's extremely well-written, and it's enthralling for the first half of the story. Some folks will likely dislike it because there's not much magic going on, but it didn't really bother me.

4/5 - it's not perfect, but it's such a curiosity that it's an unforgettable read

This was horrid. The writing seemed good at the beginning but it starts feeling repetitive. The sensory details of the forest just seemed dreary, and the end result is a forest like Mirkwood from The Hobbit.

    2/5.

Thanks for the clarification, Evil Twin, as I rarely see him interact with his students and due to my rank, its difficult to ascertain just where he draws the line he shares quite a bit with me, though for the life of me, I dont know why.And sorry, WixSaNym, I need to sit down and take a moment or two to see if I can come up with any other hidden material.

After reading a bit more than half of this fic, then skipping to the final chapter, I'm in 2 minds about it.

For the first 10 chapters, it was absolutely brilliant. Well thought out, well written(I think the first few chapters weren't beta'd though, so there were 1 or 2 grammatical mistakes.)

However I found the idea of "Stray" being obliviated a tad unbelievable. As far as I know(remembering of course, that I am not well versed in the intricacies of canon Potterverse) the obliviate spell is meant to be quite difficult, so how is it that an 8 year old with limited mental capacity, and a wand which is obviously not suited to them, is able to pull it off on the 2nd try?

Also I didn't like the idea of Stray becoming one of the pack... I don't know why but I was kinda hoping she would act as a mediator between Harry and the outside world. The way the story went just introduced a new OC in the shaman, who, as a character, is very confusing.
