Do you ever catch a glimpse of a commercial that leaves you sweating in fear?

I did, so I googled it, and found http://www.hitmanmovie.com/.

I'm torn between viewing this with unmitigated horror, and with intrigued curiosity. After, it's a very good series of games, and thus the movie has potential, but, as I think almost everyone here is aware, making a movie out of a video game tends to be the kiss of death. Thoughts?

 

That guy resembles Agent 47 as much as Uwe Boll resembles a good director.

hehehe i agree. I don't know why but movies now a days are complete crap. Especially resident evil 3. I'm reading the book right now, the hitman. And right now, it's actually pretty sweet but hopefully the movie is better.

Terrible. Hitman does not have emotions, and they are making him love some girl. Just terrible.

 

Well, in the game, Blood Money it showed that he was slowly learning emotion but love is way out of the ballpark for 47. The games are great but The movie is not something I'm paying 612 dollars to see in a theatre. I'll just by the dvd or watch it online.

 

Maybe it'll be better for those of us who don't know the games.

Personally, I've never played this, and the trailer looked incredibly unappealing.

 

Raised by an exiled brotherhood of the church, his purpose is to rid the world of evil? And here I was thinking that 47 was raised by a mad scientist, and his purpose was to kill anyone for whom a nice bounty is offered. And I also thought he wasn't prone to romance. But the fillmmakers apparently know better than me.
That guy doesn't even remotely look like 47 (though, admittedly, few people do).

 

Just watched it the other week. I loved the movie, and it is about a Hitman, but the Hitman in the game series? Similar, but not really.

The movie by itself is good though.

I'm not worried about that. I'm just surprised that this thread was back all of a sudden. It was a complete surprise.
