I remember reading this just as it was finished and enjoying it, despite a lack of... connection with Teddy. Something didn't click for me. That being said this and an in-progress seven book series (who name escapes me atm) are the only next-gen fics I've ever finished, and enjoyed.

3.5/5, round it up for he score card.

This, but after you finish with Alexandra please.

Edit: It was Vekin's Albus Potter series.

I liked it a lot, but then, I have always been a sucker for well written next generation stories. It does want for a sequel, though.

Read the story a year or so ago and I loved it. Just saying that it is the best next gen story, while true, is hardly doing it justice. Good plot and great characters with good writing, easily 5/5.

"Best Next Gen" is like "Best Transvestite Hooker". It may be the best, but its still pretty damned bad.

Anyway, I read through most of the chapters of this but I just couldn't keep going.

I don't much like next generation stories, and this one has a lot of little failings. That said, I made it through until the end, and enjoyed it.

This is a solidly written fic that also happens to be about a something isn't appealing to most of the DLP readership. It's good though.

Alright, so I've managed to make it through four chapters. Considering that I have a three chapter rule, when it comes to deciding if I'll actually read something or not...well, I guess I have to admit that it isn't exactly torture. Still, I just doesn't really hold my interest.

I don't see where the plot is going... I take that back, I do see where the plot is going, I just can't imagine how this could actually be interesting and, therefore, entertaining. I don't really give a crap about the OCs. The author gives me no reason to care about them. There is no hook here. When writing OC, you've got to have a hook that makes people interested in the characters introduced or they just fade into the background or become annoying. Speaking of annoying, I nearly clicked out at at the introduction of the Chloe girl.

I really don't have the patience required to continue this story to the point that I might actually think that it's good.

    2.5/5, I suppose rounding up.

If memory serves this had an OC Slytherin girl named Oliphanta, or something similar… She was kind of interesting.

Overall though, while it didn’t exactly strike me as a DLP style story, I remember it being head and shoulders above the vast majority of the pap on the internet. 3-4/5 easy.
