It may have taken a long time, it could be argued that the creators need to get a life (though not by me), but damn if it isn't cool...

 

I looked closely at the pictures and it doesn't look like it was actually made out of matchsticks...whats up with that?

 

All I have to say is that they have wayyy too much time on their hands. That would've taken me a years to make.

 

When that thing is done, I will marvel it... and then introduce it to an angry matchstick that didn't make the cut that flamed with anger, if you catch my drift.

Taure: I think that they might have cut of the heads of the sticks so they didnt ignite when they were making the thing. But in some pictures you can see little red dots spaced evenly and stuff.

 

All I have to say is WOW! He really must have alot of time to spend of a project like that.

 

That is quite possibly the coolest and most pointless thing I have ever seen in my life. I just want to know how much the guy sold it for. The guy had made some cool suff though, like Pinocchio, the santa maria, and an air craft carrier.

 

Well, the guy must be partially insane, but at the same time brilliant, that would be incredibly hard to do. He spent 3 years making that, incredible.

 

Sadly when I saw this post I was expecting a joke resembling anime's "Tokyo, the matchstick city" concerning the number of fic's lately that feel the need to destroy Hogwarts. Seriously, a stone castle will not burn to the ground, stupid fangirl writers.

 

Wow, that is really impressive, even if it did take years im sure i could never get something to even remotely resemble a castle. I'd also like to know how much he sold it for, id get like 200,000 or so. As for burning it down, it would be fun but id rather just have it, you can burn lots of stuff but how many hogwarts matchstick castles are out there?

I saw the article about this on Yahoo News a couple of months ago, there were 2-3 people working on this. I took them a couple of years.

 

I'm waiting for the followup story about him being convicted for murdering his son, who decided it would be fun to jump off a ramp with his bike but landed in the garage, plowing headfirst into the matchstick Hogwarts.

God damn, I would love to see something like that
