I agree S/He does go a bit overboard on the descriptions but i dont think that necessarily mandates its a girl... ive met some VERY whipped men who could do it... and a few gay guys.... but thats not the point...

It is. But you need to understand that it is a Romance based story, so you will encounter much mushiness as you read. Apart from that, it’s entertaining and a bit original in the relationship, as well as well written. I’d recommend you read the first chapter and test the waters yourself.

 

Agreed, but the point is that just because something wouldn't *realistically* exist doesn't mean you wouldn't desire it. If you are realistic you might just pick the top qualities you want or something. So, I guess Harry could belike the "perfect" guy. But then the same could be said of the girls Jeconais writes into the story, I mean who would ever possibly be lucky enough to get someone even remotely close to Pansy or Gabrielle and I don't mean just the looks.

I like Jeconais's development of the Veela characteristics. I can just tell that it would spread like wildfire ...if people actually wrote Harry/Veela pairings...blah.

I think that you guys are being too hard on the guy. Sure it might be a little suspicios that he knows a bit too much about girls' POV but as long as he gets a good story out, who are we to complain?

Being too hard on the guy is an understatement. Some of you sound like you just rolled out of a cave, scratching and beltching before you posted. Straight guys have written, sung, and directed the most romantic stories, poems, songs, plays and movies in all of recorded history. I don't think this guy is too in touch with his feminine side, I think some of you are in denial that you possess one to begin with. I'm not surprised the fic was writtenby a uy, and as a completely heterosexualmale, I must say romance is the single most important element in any work of fiction - without it there is no realmotivation for anything in life, on or off the page.

Too bad I'm not a Gabby fan...

 

I disagree. Maybe in fiction, but in real life?

What about ambition, a desire to prove yourself. What about revenge? There are SO many other things beyond romance.

But I do see you're point. THe problem for me is that this story portrays romance unrealistically.
