Thanks for the reccomendation, but i've already read that one.

There doesn't seem to be very many fics with Harry/Gabrielle pairings. At least Hope will be updated soon, it should sate my thirst.

I intend to write a Harry/Gabrielle fiction (although romance won't be one of the main genres, but close enough) as soon as I'm done with a story of mine called Song of the Trees. I like the pairing as well.

Yeah I can't think of any other HP/GD stories that're longer than a couple thousand words. Tinn Tam, I'd love to read what you could do with the pairing.

I would love to see what a quality writer with dedication could do with this pairing. With the age difference a writer could focus on story and blossoming romance instead of smut. A good story doesn't need to be porno.

I really like this story and this chapter was another great one, the way he has developed the characters is something i rarely see in fanfiction and especially romantic fiction. Its also great to hear that the next two chapters are already at the beta stage. Very much looking forward to more and the end of this fic.

Maybe it's that I've come to expect too much from Tim. Or maybe it's that this last chapter was split into three chapters, of which '10-Antwerp' is just the first third. But this chapter didn't do much for me. It was fine. Nothing horribly wrong, but nothing exciting, fantastic, interesting, or ground-breaking. Pretty much standard stuff. The Rita-Trelawney scene was probably my favorite but the Harry-Gabrielle interaction is becoming the weakest stuff in this story. We can only reiterate how great Harry is so many times, and how great they are for each other so many times, before it begins to detract. And I think we've crested and it's getting worse with each reminder.

Even still, this fic hasn't wavered in my 5/5 opinion of it.

I completely agree with you. I thought the chapter was very good. Despite this, it seemed to be lacking something. The interactions between Harry and Gabrielle just weren't as fresh as they have been.

Hopefully the next installments will be up to their usual standard.

I'm curious to see where he goes with it. What I don't get is what event is going to be the end all be all of the story.

At first I thought it was going to be Draco kidnapping Gabby and the risk of the bond breaking before Harry could find her. I'm glad to see he avoided that, but puhleeeeeaze Draco as the big bad enemy. He's more like the big bad enema, plus if he was working that angle, he'd need to have a 'simmering angry Draco' scene.

Secretly, I hope he's going for a puppet Dumbledore controlled by Snape attacking Harry no holds barred with Snape hoping to force Harry into killing Dumbles or weaken Harry enough that Snape can take him. He hinted strongly early in the story, but hasn't done anything with it since.

Either way if there is conflict coming, it hasn't really been hinted at. It's a fine story and I rate it at 4/5 overall, but it's no secret that I enjoy a story that includes a body count.

Still, I look forward to future chapters.

It was a really well written chapter(as are most of his things), but I agree that something felt lacking.

I guess I knew what to expect in a way. Tim has made it clear on his group that this isn't a conflict story really, but rather a look at their relationship and a story just about "human interaction" or whatever.

The main problem I had was that chapter 9 was so much more and after waiting for however long we have been waiting, chapter 10 just sort of fizzed out. Whatever little conflict has existed in this story, at the end of 9 we were left with a possible plot development at the end and a large portion of that was so quickly stomped on in chapter 10 that it was a bit of a let down.

You forgot to mention the Ginny bashing in chapter 11 for those who just want the bashing:

A bit of a spoiler (not much but a bit)

If I shouldn't quote the story like this just say and I'll remove the quote.

This last chapter I really liked. Despite that fact that nothing really happened, it was still enjoyable. I really liked that fact that he went more in depth about Katie's realtionship with Harry, it was an interesting twist. But does Harry really need to start fucking Gabrielle at every avaliable time now, that was my one complaint...

I think he said there will be one more as a sort of epilogue. Not too sure though.

There is indeed a short epilogue left.

"And here we are, virtually at the end of Hope. There's just a small epilogue to be posted in a couple of days time."

I'm not sure i like the last chapter, hell not only does harry stop 10 killing curses, but his invincible ring lessens the affect of the killing curse on Gabrielle, oh yeah, and after all that she also caught the snitch. What a joke.
