Cuddy has been dragging the show down for me so I don't mind her leaving. Seeing how the characters adapt to Cuddy's absence could open some good storylines.

As long as the show has House and Wilson I will keep watching. Chase has been awesome this year as well, and I am liking Thirteen more than I used to.

I hated Cuddy at the beginning, but I actually started liking her lately.

However, the next season will be the last most likely, as Laurie is only signed on for one more after this one, and he's said before that he's tired of spending 10 months in the US away from his family.

It'd be a good time to end to be honest. It's basically starting to die as there's no real new material. And it stops the producers from milking it to death, which usually just leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.

Well, that was a shitty ending. Maybe Cuddy will move away in fear for her life?

So... is he hallucinating at the end? What the hell is going on? What kind of ending was that?

I don't see why Cuddy would go away next season, since the 'I don't want to be near House' excuse doesn't work (he would be arrested).

And I related the ending to what Wilson said about House being in a place that reflects his mood, but instead of him being in a shitty bar he was in a sunny beach. I don't know if Wilson did it in purpose to protect House or if he just doesn't understand him, but I honestly prefer to believe it was in purpose.

Anyway, a strange ending, which leaves a lot of things to be explained next season, like where House is and what will happen when he comes back.

Strange ending? That might honestly be the worst season finale I've ever seen - of any show. And I really like this show. The only thing even remotely rewarding about it was the look on Cuddy's face when she saw Wilson's car parked in her dining room.

Yeah I'm with you on this one. The ending just made me go "Eh, that's... it?"

Guess I'm the only one that liked it. Don't really see what the fuss is about.

Well if the next season really is the last one then the writers don't have to pull there punches and can end it as they wish. Up until now theve basically had House running in circles afraid to make any charcter developments and everyone standing in place in the background. Let Taub have 2 families and become a horrible person, god knows what to do with Foreman and Chase. 13 can finally die, etc, etc.... theres no reason not to finally progress the plot if you know your done anyway.

As for House I'm willing to bet the last episode ends with him oding or commiting suicide.

I haven't actively followed House since Season 3 or 4 but I do continue to catch several episodes a season. I did like the episode this season where thirteen got out of jail and House picked her up for the potato gun tourney, but I haven't seen the finale yet.

If next season really is Laurie's last then I'm glad he's said so already for reasons previously mentioned -- the show has lost something in the last couple of seasons and if they actually have a definitive "this is the last season" mentality going into it then we might actually see some damned good plotting for S8.

A question: was House's final act during the finale meant to be his evolution into a full-blown sociopath? That was the lasting impression I got, since he deliberately aims at the dining room where he saw Cuddy and her dinner guests eating right before, and if they hadn't been out of the room at that point they almost certainly would be roadkill at that impact speed. I'm not really interested in that kind of House, it'd just be Dexter with an M.D.

I took it more as him expressing his feelings(that he's previously refused to do) in the most House like way as possible. Kind of like when you are angry, and you do something destructive to make yourself feel better.

If you believe anyone who does anything to hurt others out of anger is a sociopath, then this world is full of them.

There's a tad bit of difference between smashing things in anger and driving a car into someone's house with intent to kill. Just that tiniest smidgeon that marks the boundary between being fined for pocket change and being tossed into lockup.

I'm not saying it wasn't an extreme act of violence, for House doesn't do anything in halves. I'm saying I didn't get sociopath from it. Where a normal person might scream and yell and punch something, House will do something like this. He's done massively stupid shit in the past(just look at the past couple episodes before this) that a normal person wouldn't do. It was obviously a step up for him, but not as much as if it would be for anybody else.

You can tell from the scene on the beach that he felt peaceful after doing it. He wasn't in some sick twisted amusement from his act, just the sort of peacefulness you get after releasing tons of anger or stress.

All of a sudden I have a strong desire for a House/Prison Break crossover.

It looks good to me. Now that Cuddy is gone the show should be more enjoyable for me.

Now if they would just get rid of Foreman and Taub...

So, first episode of the new season.

    What did you think?

To sum it up in one sentence:it reminds me of the season 6, and while original, it doesn't have this humour that comes with most episodes; it makes it meh and certainly doesn't fulfil what I came to expect from this show.

While there wasn't as much funny as usual, I'm happy with how it went, hopefully episode two starts with release, not a montage of six or eight months of House just going nucking futs lol.

I liked the violence, and would like some time before this is all over to have a situation where House is in physical danger and not because he is about to kill himself.

Then again last few episodes of last season were my favorite. especially the one where he shoots the hooker...
