I actually found the site from the Hpfanfiction subreddit- I would assume many people from there are also forum members here. They all recommended that this was the best place to find filtered, quality fics. Also, many of my favorite fanfic authors credit DLP in their author's notes, so I definitely got interested from that.

I don't clearly remember how I found it. Maybe of Nonjon's or IP82's site on FF.net but then its tough to remember since I joined close to 10 years ago (yup lurking for 10 years now).
I do remember joining around the time some polls were setup for best story and stuff and the whole argument on how members few hours old were allowed to vote etc and all that.
Its been fun reading the stuff posted and how people have branched out into writing non-hp fanfiction (got me into exploring new material).

    Good times

Started reading fanfiction because of MoR. Heard about DLP then. I came for more chapters of Santi's work and I stayed for the rest of you cunts.

Heard about the bonus chapters for Santi's Boy who lived on r/hpfanfiction, and made an account in order to read them.

Pretty sure I found it through one of jbern's fics. Had been trawling through ff.net by completed favourites (honestly how is there so much slash and Draco/Hermione?) and The Lie I've Lived was the first fan fic I truly got into, so when he mentioned this site as having other good stuff I thought I'd check it out.

I was hooked to Santi's fanfic...While I was waiting for an update, I was reading the feedbacks the story had received. Someone there had suggested that Santi was posting rest of the story in this site, thus I joined the DLP

I was reading one of enembee's stories, pretty sure it was By the Diving Light. On his bio page I heard about the DLP community and thought I'd check it out. Once I got hooked on a few of the other stories there, I decided to give this website a try.

So, I was looking for some smut HP fanfics. Google directed me here, and I've never looked back.

DLP was found by a friend (I don't think she's a member here). I checked it out, and decided to stick around.

Over on another forum (alternatehistory.com) I was chatting with another member, and they pointed me to this site, as interesting for me as an aspiring fanfiction writer.

I was looking through communities on Fanfiction.net. And there, at the top was "DLP 5-Starred and Featured Authors". I was curious what this "DLP" was, and so I found this forum.

I wasn't aware that there was a competition for "Stupidest DLP Username". That said I did change it to something that I'm using everywhere else. I saw little sense in keeping around a user name that I only really used for a HP Forum-based RPG game that no longer exists. It appears that DLP has more staying power than that game.

That said, having many pink A's is quite honorable.

Stauracius's post pretty much explains how I got here too. I wasn't specifically recommended the site but had seen it referred to in various times over on the subreddit. Didn't really click until I signed up but I've been using the DLP scryer tool for quite a while now.
