I think it was actually the C2 that introduced me to DLP, around 2009 or so. Lurked for a while

 

Came here to read updates of The Game of Champions earlier :v

 

I stumbled across DLP almost a decade ago, but had no reason to join. It was mentioned on some author's page on ff.net if I remeber correctly.

 

You guys reviewed two of my works (Sudden Contact + And a Shepherd to Lead Us), neither of which were HP related, and the latter of which is quite terrible. Probably wouldn't have found this site otherwise. I keep coming back to check on those reviews and look at the politics forum, so figured I may as well sign up and occasionally try and contribute.

The only HP fanfic I have ever read in its entirety is Thirty H's. I have doubts that the rest of the body of work can live up to the expectations that glorious story has set for me.

 

I was looking for some other fanfic sites with better Dark Lord Potter fics so searched Dark Lord Harry Potter fanfic, and this site was one of the ones that came up. I lurked for atleast a year before I registered.

 

Not 100% positive, it was 11 (holy shit) years ago, I was 15, and I'd just got sick of Harry/Ginny fics. I think I was reading one of Lord Ravenclaws fics (?) and saw a shoutout.

 

I was looking for Harry Potter and The Boy Who Lived By Shanti and there's more posted on DLP than on FFnet.

 

A few years ago I reached a point where I was so desperate for good fics, that I started googling "good Harry Potter fanfics" and I stumbled upon this website. I felt like I struck gold haha. Too bad that a lot of the very good fics aren't updated as often as they used to.

 

It was a combination of author rec and google. I know I saw my first references to DLP in author's notes - I think it was JBern's fics - but I'm pretty sure I ended up googling "DLP" or "Dark Lord Potter" to actually find it.

 

Noticed that a lot of fanfic authors with stories I liked mentioned DLP at some point, was curious what it stood for, found you guys

 

I found this place through fanfiction.net where a bunch of writers discussed it on a forum.

 

I saw many "little arrows" pointing here from many places. I've been lurking around without account since 09', finally made account recently - only to continue lurking.

 

I'm pretty sure that I just stumbled here in a desperate search for good hp fanfiction, don't remember the specifics though. Been happy taking recs ever since. Thanks btw.

I guess old lurkers like me got grandfathered in for the whole WBA section?

 

Well, it wasn't as much that it was recommended as much as they stopped updating their FF story, and I googled their name found them in the WBA section. ._.

 

I'd seen references to the site on a couple of author's pages on other sites, but never had a reason to look into DLP until I stumbled across it through Googling "Good Harry Potter Fanfics".

 

Recommended by a couple of friends years after my initial fanfic-reading phase.

Hello DLP! I used to lurk here ages and ages and AGES ago, but I never made an account. I think I ended up here via Mugglenet? Best guess!

You used to have an introduction forum, and you don't anymore, and that's cool. Still, hi! I wrote a short story as part of a group not too long ago (original fiction) and it sucked, and then I remembered fanfiction sucked sometimes too, and somehow I ended back up here.

This will be fun!

 

I found it via Shezza, actually, through his ANBU Naruto fanfic. He kept referencing DLP, so I decided to google it and see what it was all about.
