I believe I found DLP via the magic of that glorious, omniscient search engine google. I was searching for some story, and it had been recommended here. Thus began my descent into madness, er, happiness. I was honestly astounded that a community with such high standards for fanfiction even existed. After wading through years of detritus, DLP was the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.

 

I found DLP while looking through the HPFanfiction subreddit. I was intrigued when they mentioned that DLP was a site which has a large amount of quality fanfiction, so I decided to join.

 

Saw the DLP FF community; thought the stories were quite a bit better and more accessible than the occasional one you could find by trawling through trawling through author profiles and their favourites after reading a decent story

 

I'm here to read the Boy Who Lived by The Sa-- no, I'm kidding. Just kidding.

I think I found DLP back in about 2010 or so, while looking for quality fanfiction on Google. I lurked in the forums for a while, read some discussions, looked through the library, and then fell out of fanfiction-reading for a couple of years.

 

The was a link to DLP on TV Tropes. I've always liked to see different takes on Harry Potter.

 

I first learnt about DLP on FFN. Though, I didn't join for a long time as I wasn't interested in Evil!Harry or Grey!Harry. But many stories I read (and liked) mentioned DLP so I checked it out. I lurked for a long time before joining.

 

I first saw DLP mentioned in either Shezza's Denarian trilogy or one of nonjon's works, I can't recall.

I do remember seeing several references by good authors before I finally took the time to google it, as Dark!Harry never interested me and I assumed that was the site's focus.

 

Google searches looking for specific themes (politics, Evil!Harry, etc) consistently lead to DLP. I also recall seeing mentions of the site on reddit and in several author profiles.

 

Way way back when, I was referred here from RestrictedSection.org

 

I found Dark Lord Potter because I was looking for Ginny debates.

 

Found DLP while searching for dark harry stories.
And heard about it from diffrent fanfic authors

 

I just found it through Hpfanfiction.reddit.com

So probably a lot of people have come through there as well.

 

A friend of mine was annoyed that all the good hp fanfics were only found on DLP. So of course I had to check it out.

 

The story is a bit complicated.

I found DLP off of ff.net, but if the question you're asking me is as to why I joined DLP, then it was through CyberNations.

If it weren't for those inactivity reminder emails I'd have forgotten about CN altogether.

 

You play CN? What's your ruler-name? And what alliance? I suspect it would be GOD, but never hurts to know for sure.

I was searching for some good stories.I was still new to the world of fanfiction and generally used the search feature.One day I tapped on the community link(I read fanfiction on my mobile)and there it was DLP C2.Then using Google and some common sense i found DLP.

 

I found DLP while reading Shezza's Denarian Renegade series. Stayed cause of the Dresden Work by Authors (Dresden fanfics were hard to find).
