I was introduced to DLP via a quick Google search. I heard some mentions of it on ff.net, although I can't for the life of me remember who it was. If I remember correctly, the person was talking trash about this site and I got curious so I sought it out. That was about 2 years ago, and I finally got around to joining back in July.

 

Somebody mentioned the site on HP fanfiction subreddit. Had to check it out

 

I had seen it mentioned in the ANs of a couple of stories back in the day, but can't really remember which as it was a while ago. Didn't end up visiting the site till much later though. The name had put me off – the 'Dark Harry' or 'Indy!Harry' stories of the time were riddled with cliches, and I figured that this was just another site dedicated to the trope. It wasn't till I found the DLP C2 that I ended up giving this site a chance. Now I pretty much exclusively read fics that have been mentioned or reviewed here first.

 

I seen some people mention it on reddit so I checked it out- DLP is in my opinion definitely one of the best places to find good Harry Potter fanfiction

 

Glorious Find.

I found this site by hunting for more on a certain story and saw a link on Reddit pointing me here. Quite a glorious find I must add.

 

I found DLP after hearing about it in relation to Yudkowsky's fic. You could say it was a combination of google search and someone trash talking the site. So I bookmarked it as a resource for higher quality fanfic.

 

I found DLP by hunting good Harry/Fleur fic´s and DLP had the most Info on the Pairing at the time.

 

I have been aware of this site for a couple of years now, however have just recently became a regular visitor. I think the first time I heard of it was either in an AN either mentioning DLP or from the DLP C2. As I developed a more specific taste, less tolerance for poor quality and overall frustration at finding decent reads, I came here searching for fanfic that wouldn't make cringe within the first chapter. I floated around for a bit mainly browsing the almost recommended and the library for readable fanfic before making the plunge and becoming a member of DLP.

 

I first found out about DLP from some AN in some stories, but it wasn't until i found the DLP C2 that I decided to check this site out. The C2 has some of the best stories I've read.

 

I think the first time I saw this site was a long time ago, when I was trying to find a certain story --I just don't remember which one right now. I recall it got my attention and almost give it a go, but I finally decided against it because it was not what I was originally looking for. As I developed an extremely slim patience for bad quality stories and ended up reading only of a couple of chapters before dumping every story I began, I decided to give it a go when I stumbled with the site again. After seeing that quality is the highest standard here, I just had to join DLP. I hope I can find some enjoyable reading here --because, honestly, good stories just seem to be avoiding me.

 

DLP comes up often in reviews at fanfiction.net. I don't remember why I never tried to join before, but I'm not happy I have, so far.

 

Heh, I was talking to a friend about my hate-on for Ginny and he recommended i check out DLP. I haven't actually found all that much Ginny hate around here yet but I love the library already, especially the sorted by pairing thread i found here.

 

I was reading The Santi's Harry Potter and the Boy Who Lived and in his ANs at the start of every chapter he'd thank the guys over at DLP. So I decided to look in to it.

 

I heard about DLP from reading reviews to a few pieces of fanfiction I wrote. So I came and started reading then wanted to join so as to post.

 

Googled "Harry Potter Fanfic forum". This came up and I promptly stayed away for 3 years because... well let's say our tastes didn't align. Came back not long ago because I actually have good taste now.

 

How I found DLP

I found DLP a while ago whIle I was lurking on the Harry Potter fanfiction reddit and I was curious, so I checked it out. Because of that, now I'm here.

 

I found DLP through Google and lurked briefly a year or so ago. Just recently got back into Harry Potter fanfic and stumbled across it again on Reddit. After recognizing the site from my last fanfic reading burst I decided to sign up.

I saw a lot of references abou DLP at ff.net, but I didn't know it was such a huge community back then, even though I had some vague ideas. After some, through a Google search, I found the site and loved it.
