I am an avid reader on ff.net, and in various bio pages of the authors who write hp fanfiction I have seen dlp being referenced. At first, when I found out what the full form was, I was put off. But, once I read the excellent stories recommended by the dlp c2, I headed straight here.

Mainly found through references made in ff profiles, and researching further led to the forums themselves.

I think I first came across the forum when the author of a story I enjoyed complained in the author's notes at the end of every chapter about all the asshats at DLP criticizing his work. Most people here probably remember the story Knowledge is Power, since I remember it was a fairly popular target. Certainly agree with all the criticism of the story, but I thought it was the absolute pinnacle of guilty pleasure reading. Was amusing that the author stopped writing because he couldn't handle the criticism.

I think the authors that survive, even thrive, are the ones that feed on criticism. I've had thousands of bad reviews at this point, and each one of them is delicious.

Anyone that can't handle DLP has no business writing stories - our negative reviews are, for the most part, constructive in their negativity. I've always received a relatively good reception here, but if I were to write something shit, not a single one of you bastards would hesitate to tell me so. That's why I'm still here.

Maybe so, but calling you out on leaving shit unfinished seems to not faze you in the slightest.

After a while on ff.net I found mention of DLP in some of the more memorable authors bio pages (enembee and Taure). From there I found the DLP 5-Starred and Featured Authors community on ff.net and that led me to here. It was a while before I made an account though.

Saw DLP mentioned occasionally in stories I was reading or on reddit. After finding the DLP 5 Starred community on ff.net I decided to come check it out.

I thought The Santi's story about Harry being the brother of the boy who lived and attending Durmstrang was excellent, and I saw that the rest was posted on here.

I came here from the harry potter fanfiction subreddit, as dlp was constantly being mentioned. Everyone there seemed to hold it in high esteem so i decided to check it out for myself.

I am a relative newcomer to hp fan fiction, but I was browsing through the most of the drivel on fanfiction.net, and then I discovered the DLP collection, and I liked it a lot. This is a nice community.

Came here to read some quality fanfiction. Without a doubt, DLP reviews can be harsh, but the ones they do recommend are usually stellar. Have yet to go wrong reading a DLP 5-star recommended fic. Just thought it was time to stop lurking and actually start participating
