I'm looking for fanfics that have Harry as a central character crossing over with either DC, Marvel or any other Superhero fandom. Recently read:

and liked it. Got me in the mood for that type of crossover. Forget the Batman crossovers they're pretty easy to find, it's the hard to find ones I'm interested in.

There are a few, but not many meet this site's standards. I think HP has been mostly crossed with X-Men (look for 'Project M' in this site), I remember one with Spider-Man and "Wizard of Gotham" or "Harry Potter and the Dark Knight" with Batman.

 

The handful of folks that do good fanfiction and comic book fanfiction is a small set. Trying to find a "good" hp/comic book crossover is tough.
With the Possible exception of "terminal justice" I can't think of a
HP/comic book superhero crossover that would get any 5/5 ratings here at DLP. A new bunch of then have popped up, and many can be found at the new Forum that replaced the Fanficauthors forum.

 

The Ascension of Ra is definitely my favorite HP/DC xover being updated right now. Although I'm a little disappointed at how it feels like the author is simply retreading Smallville episodes, I really like the characterization. It's one of the few stories where I really like Lois.

Harry Potter and the Power of Oa is at the bare minimum of what I will read. Bluminous8 has horrible characterization, inadequate grammar and after reading his first lemon I pray he will never write another one. That said - I like the concept of the Harry/Supergirl pairing.

Actually, don't read that story. It's just further proof that I'll sometimes read horrible stories just because I like the pairing.

Harry Potter and the Power of OA

Be warned. I would never submit this to the DLP library.

 

Does anyone have ideas for a potential plot of a HP/DC/Marvel crossover? Whenever I check Wikipedia I look into the neverending black maw of the comic book universes and end up doing something else.

The guy who wrote Power of Oa also wrote a Harry/Aayla Secura story which might bear looking into.

Lots of comic book add ins here - Iron Man, Captain America, The Fantastic Four, Batman, The Hulk... you name it, it's got it.

 

The only acceptable combination of HP, DC, and Marvel is in a plot-less fighting game.

/me goes to find Marvel vs. Capcom and the Dreamcast.

 

The other way of combining the three would be to set the story in a neutral universe and have the characters you want to involve transported there from their own worlds. The problem being that you have at least a 99% chance of ending up with an unreadable clusterfuck.

 

Then it would be indistinguishable from 99% of the shit already on FanFiction.net.

 

Do I need a background in anything but Harry Potter to read this?

I tried reading that earlier today. I couldn't get passed the 1st chapter. It wasn't a good read. At all.

 

Ellisande: I've never picked up a DC comic - so not in my opinion. I did watch the Batmen cartoon and Lois and Clark as a kid, so I suppose I cheated slightly.

Once again - the story IS borderline total fail. I still think it's better than his Star Wars fic, which does horrible things to Jedi beliefs and powers. Merging magic and the Force is a horrible horrible idea.

 

Alright, that fic did suck. I regret asking for the link. We need moar interesting Harry/OC stories...

Huh, I wasn't really a fan of Make a Wish, but I really like Terminal Justice.

In regard to my avatar: Egwene al'Vere from the Wheel of Time series. I stole this from some artist's website a year ago.

 

Just read Terminal Justice and man did it suck balls. There were one or two good points but the rest of it was total crap. GodHarry fics are crack fics, nothing more nothing less, trying to put too much detail into it doesn't work as this showed.

Don't know if this is any good yet, will be reading it soon.
