Is there any reason to believe any of the unforgivables other than the crucio have an emotional requirement to cast?
Is there any reason besides Bellatrix to believe the crucio has an emotional component to cast?

Is the notice-me-not charm canon? I didn't find anything on the HP Wikia.

That question seems to pop up with some frequency in this thread.
    And finally, my own thoughts:

Voldemort seemed to enjoy hitting Harry with the cruciatus in GoF.
Apart from perhaps Barty Crouch Junior in bk 4, I don't think we've ever seen someone using an unforgiveable curse without wanting to torture/control/kill the target, but that could be for the same reason that most people don't shoot people with guns without intending to kill or maim.
Barty also says this on the killing curse:
No mention of desire to kill whatsoever.

In conclusion, it appears that the unforgiveables don't require special emotions, but feel free to draw your own opinion from the evidence provided.

It is not. It's a fanfiction invention over twelve years old, and my research led to its earliest use in a Snape mpreg fic- in order to hide his swelling belly, you see.

Now, aren't you glad you checked?

    Twelve years. Bloody hell.

Don't suppose you have a date for the beginning of mass HP fanfiction?

Around that time. The earliest FF when HP FF became a Thing are Post-GoF (After the End, say). OotP was '03, GoF was 2000.

How does the veela alure work? Would a lesbian or bisexual woman be affected by a veela? Would a gay man not be affected?

What we know: Veela are unnaturally beautiful and people attracted to them often act foolishly. When they sing and dance, it multiplies the effect. Arthur Weasley could resist the effect with just the dancing but even he plugged his ears so as not to lose his senses to their siren song, which wholly took over the referee's attention during the match. When a mediwizard ran out, ears plugged, and kicked him in the shins he came to his senses and immediately ordered the Veela off the pitch.

Hermione was unimpressed. Ginny reacted poorly to everyone else falling over themselves whenever Fleur was around.

That's the extent of our canon data.

Fleur did try to use something (not gonna say allure because that's fanon) on Cedric Diggory sometime after the Yule Ball was announced, didn't she? But then Ron got caught in the middle of it and made a bit of fool of himself.

How long did the duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald last, HP wikia said 3 three hours but we all know what a terrible source it is and three hours seems a bit outlandish

Pretty sure the only thing we know about that duel, from the books, is that it occurred.

We also know that it was spectacular.

And that Dumbledore was ultimately victorious, that Grindelwald survived the duel but lost the allegiance of the Elder Wand. By the way he talks about it in Dumbledore's obituary, I gather Elphias Doge wasn't there though others were (he says something along the lines of 'witnesses say...'). But yeah, not a whole lot.

I do wonder where the 'three hour duel' thing comes from, though. Seems like a strange detail.

What makes you think Fleur did do something?

    Question:

Where do we learn that Durmstrang does not accept muggleborns?

    Draco says so:
I'm not sure if there has been any additional information on Pottermore since, but it seems like a reasonable enough source.

Edit: No place of birth for Karkaroff was given to my knowledge.

Do we have any information, where exactly Igor Karkaroff is from? Ukraine, Russia, somewhere more to the west (Bulgaria?)?

I always assumed that he was from Britain and his parents were from another country since he and Snape seemed to be old pals.

They were old pals because they were Death Eaters—ones that escaped 'justice' by snitching. That's a pretty select group of people. I would assume that's how they know each other, not that Karkaroff was the British son of immigrants. Karkaroff also being the headmaster of Durmstrang would tend to disprove theory as well. It's not impossible but seems to me to be unlikely.

Is the fact that Molly used a mild love potion on Arthur to get him to notice her canon?
