Really wouldn't have thought of arrogance, but I haven't read the books in ages. Do any of you know examples where he is shown as arrogant in canon?

The one that comes to mind immediately:

He said this right after Snape wiped the floor with him.

While that is definitely arrogant of him. In Harry's defense just about everyone wanted to kill Snape.

Does Harry have any other scars besides the lightning-bolt one, or is that just one of the million things that exists purely in Fanon?

He only has that lightning-bolt one.

Don't forget the Umbridge scars on his hand.

Is the scar on his chest from the second killing curse entirely fanon then?

    Also, a question:

Is there any evidence that Lucius Malfoy bribed Fudge at all? Or is it left to be implied? Or is it merely a fanon idea?

I thought the Lightning Bolt faded after the war because it was a part of the Horcrux?

So I'd envision there'd be no scar on his chest, with Harry's case being the only time the Killing Curse left a mark on a body.

    Completely fanon.

I honestly cannot believe the questions you people are asking.

Heavily implied when Harry runs into them after his hearing and Malfoy's pockets are dingling with coins. Fudge claims Malfoy had also made "donations to excellent causes".

So Fawkes' tears healed the wound from the Basilisk bite completely, no scar?

Given that it is never mentioned again, we can assume that there is no scar.

Or Harry just intends to go straight to the Killing Curse if he sees Snape again. Given Harry's mindset at the time, it's not much of a stretch.

Question: Is there anything in canon about who started the whole "boy-who-lived" thing?

Harry has never cast a Killing Curse, and his previous attempts at casting Unforgivables failed. Furthermore, Snape stopped him mid-incantation when he tried to cast the Cruciatus Curse, which has a much shorter incantation. I doubt Harry intended to master non-verbal Killing Curses. And if he did, well, that was pretty arrogant on its own.

Failed? No, it didn't fail. It didn't have the power or the longevity that Bellatrix expected from the Cruciatus, but that doesn't equate to "failing." After all, he did put her down with it. He just couldn't keep her down with it. Not bad for the first time casting a curse. (caveat; just re-watched the movies and may be confusing canon with movie-canon).

I always looked at it as Harry was so overcome with rage that Bellatrix had killed Sirius that he righteously cast an Unforgivable. While it was cast properly, it requires something more than grief and revenge to power it, and Bellatrix recovered about the time that Harry went: "Oh shit, I'm torturing someone."

No doubt that he cast it right though.

Doesn't he cast the Cruciatus later on in the series properly? On one of the Carrows?

Yes he does. At the Battle of Hogwarts, after one of the Carrows spit on McGonagall, I think.

Harry proved himself to be talented at casting the Unforgivables.

Someone had a theory - @Taure possibly? - that Harry's greatest talent was for dark magic. All of the spells he's really excelled at save for the Patronus have been dark.

The concept of this tickles me, Harry being who he is. It would suck to only be talented at something you shouldn't do.
