Hermione mentions it before that, as one of the ways to destroy a Horcrux, does she not?

Who exactly is Daphne Greengrass? I can't remember reading any actual dialogue by her

She is a character first mentioned during Harry's sorting and mentioned vaguely as part of Pansy Parkinson's bitch squad. She also has no dialogue.

Unless it's a difference between editions, I don't remember her during the sorting. The only time I can remember her is when she is called at the same time as Hermione during the OWLs, where she isn't even said to be a Slytherin. The rest comes from interviews, IIRC.

Daphne Greengrass was not mentioned during the sorting. Her only appearance was in OoTP, during the OWLs.

Her being a part of Pansy Parkinson's gang is from an interview.

Daphne is also shown on the class list, sort of; originally she was going to be named Queenie Greengrass. The list is extra-canonical, but it is interesting and adds perspective; plus it acts as a source for a number of names that show up frequently in fan fic.

The pictures are shite because they are screencaps from a special that aired on British TV: The only place these pages have ever made an appearance, as far as I know.

A larger version of the pic can be found on the Lexicon.

The class list is also where Tracey Davis and Su Li came from.

The first symbol shows gender, the second shows blood status (Square = muggleborn, star = halfblood, circled star = pureblood*), and the third is the initial for their house.

If you're looking for Hermione, she's on the obscured side of the notebook, with her original surname Puckle. :p

*Note that Seamus's circle has been scribbled out. Like the names, these blood statuses may have changed by the time the book was published... or even partway through the series (since most were never mentioned), like Hermione's middle name.

EDIT: It's a little disappointing that even the Lexicon lists Su as Sue.

The page as such was only shown in this special, but she gave the list on Pottermore.

I've always wondered why Tracey Davis is represented by an inverted pentagram, instead of the hexagram that represents all other half-bloods. Is she a half-succubus, or what?

I saw the symbols but never knew what they meant. What do they mean?

Squibs are said to be just like Muggles, the only differene if they have magical parents.

So they are no different to muggles and should not be able to see ghosts.

Erotic S is on the money.

Muggles can't see ghosts and dementors, and since a squib is a muggle born to magical parents this is also true for them.

    Source.

If a squib can't see a dementor, they wouldn't be able to see a ghost either. Man, this really drives home how depressing it would be to be a squib, huh?

I don't have the books on me, and have no way of accessing them right now, so can anyone tell me whether Percy Weasley actually said something about Dumbledore being slightly insane even though he's the most brilliant guy around or something at the Welcoming Feast in PS? And if yes, can you provide the exact quote?

I don't wish to derail anything but how does this play with Filch? I'm pretty sure he interacts with the Hogwarts ghosts at some points, he certainly interacts with Peeves whom one would think would be covered by the same rules as ghosts with regards to muggle/squib perception.

Peeves is a poltergeist, not a ghost. Unlike ghosts, he has a physical form and can carry out physical actions (such as throwing objects). And since Filch can see him, we can know that squibs can indeed see poltergeists.

As for ghosts, there have not been a single interaction between Filch and a ghost in the canon. While Filch probably knew about the existence of these ghosts, it is most likely that he never was able to interact with them.

A dementor also has a physical form and can carry out physical actions (such as open doors). I don't think the comparison between a ghost and a dementor is much different from that of a ghost and a poltergeist.
