    Title: I Heard The World
    Author: YamiPaladinofChaos
    Rating: T
    Genre: Drama/Adventure
    Status: WIP
    Fandom: Code Geass
Pairings: There are definitely a few potential pairings, but it's far from the focus of the fic and none are set in stone.
Summary: AU. A twist of fate, a different world, and a familiar war. Two princes fight on opposite sides to right a wrong, a half blood girl fights for change, another girl fights for revenge, an amnesiac fights to remember, and an immortal fights to save a soul.

Ok, so, if you're a Code Geass fan who's been searching for a good Code Geass fic you've probably long since abandoned your search. But in my opinion, this is by far the best proper piece of fiction in this fandom (yes, better than Dauntless and Lelouch of Brittania - significantly too).

Let me break down why it's so awesome.

    - AU twist: it's basically all based around switching the positions of Japan and Brittania - and by extension, the positions of almost everyone in the series. The role reversal is well thought out and executed very well, and I appreciate the effort that must have gone into it - particularly with the creation of the Japanese empire. Also, the impact it has on the Lelouch-Suzaku rivalry/friendship is great.
    - Characterisation: Everyone is characterised well (even though there are some characters who might as well be OCs), and though many of them are very different they are justified by the divergences the author makes. Furthermore, they're interesting - and their interactions are interesting too. A lot of the fic is based around the ideologies of these characters, so this being very good is vital. Thankfully, it is.
    - Action: The action scenes are awesome. That is all.
    - Overarching plot: There definitely is one, and judging by the progression of the fic it's going to be a fine one too.
    - Author: This author has written a lot of Code Geass fics - including Revenant, which I'd also rec to anyone interested in this fandom. Oh, and Eating the Dead, which was rated a 5/5 on this forum. Anyway, he/she seems trustworthy and has completed fics, so I expect this to be finished someday.

To sum up, it is at the very least one of the best fics in this fandom - despite it being relatively unknown (considering how good it is). Go read it.

    :\

I thought the author looked familiar.

Almost enough to make me stop immediately. >_>

Come on, you can't honestly dislike the story from that? I can point you to this fic:

This got 5/5 on this forum. Does that redeem the author slightly?

Anyway, if you don't like the fic then give a review and explain why. Don't just give it a 1/5 without anything approaching a good reason.

I didnt say I didnt like or read it. I said that was enough to make me run into the hills. And I can actually dislike it from that alone because:

It sounds like Highschool!<fandom> stories. Ultra-stupid, pitiful attempts at writing stories that the only thing in common with the fandom is that some of the characters share names and looks with the canon ones.

Bad as some of his shit is, he has some stuff I enjoyed.

I can't even be bothered to argue. I just marathoned the Dresden Files and I'm in too good a mood to care.

Well I read it all the way through. 2.5/5.... The problem with this story like all Code Geass reversal stories is that I have yet to see the whole philosophy of Suzaku and Lelouch switch ever really makes sense in analog with the new life stories of the two characters.

While having good writing and prose the critical flaw of this story is the flawed and rather unbelievable crafted characters of the two reversed mains (Lelouch and Suzaku)... Honestly, the reversal of all the minor character roles is very well done. The only real problem but a critical flaw is the two main characters.

Spoilers: Suzaku is the governor of England. He unlike canon Lelouch never spent the time growing up in a rebuilding nation... He was in a palace... As for Lelouch, unlike Suzaku he had Jeremiah and C.C. from the start! There seems to be no need immediate urge by Lelouch to satisfy a canon Suzaku philosophy... Also the abilities of the character makes it rather inconceivable that Lelouch can ever garner power within the Japanese Empire... An Ace knightmare pilot sure. A prince of a defeated country leading the invading troops? A propaganda coup but that it, it would be just a propaganda coup.
