Another Dark Harry/Hermie fics. Its a fairly good story thats well written. It features an uber munipulative Dumbles that has everyone working for him like sheep. Some good fight scenes too. Only thing is it can get a little long winded at times. Pretty good fic otherwise

 

this summary seems really weak but fuck it. ill try it if for nothing more than boredoms sake.

EDIT: nvmd. read the first line and stopped. dont like abusive vernon stories. if it is any good tell me and ill continue.

 

Read up to the end of chapter one. Doesn't seem like anything amazing. Quite a lot of cliches around. I mean, he gets a dark arts book and he throws it in the fucking bin! Sorry, but Retard!Harry doesn't really interest me. But i'll read on anyways to see if it gets better.

 

It is actually alright, it only involves the Durselys for a little while.

And he does use the dark arts book later on (second chapter)

 

Any story where Harry is beaten and lets Vernon get away with so much as one punch, is pathetic and unrealistic. Period. No exceptions. Ever.

 

Not sure, but I believe he is getting back at him (torture and the like).
Not saying this is the best fic ever, but it is alright. If you have nothing else to do, give it a shot

 

This story was ok, not great but ok. I love how Dumbledore is written and how Voldy is not some insane madman but can acually think. Also I am discovering that I love Dark Hermione

 

at first when i read the reviews here i though that the story wasnt much worth my time...
but then i read the first chapter and while i admit that i dont really like stories that start like that where Harry is royally abused by Vernon if you give the story a chance it get better later on .
i especially liked the part where it explains how Harry and Hermione can resist the obliviations (sp?) of the meddeling bumbelbee.

and i agree - i rally like Dark Hermione - i would really like to see more stories that show that.

I have read the first chapter. I am not a fan of random breakdown!harry nor takestheabuse!harry. But, I am going to read some more and see what happens.

 

No... Just no. Like Illusive said, any fic where Harry is a pussy who takes beatings from someone who has no blood relations to him is a BIG no in my books. So no.

 

trust me read the fic, it takes a complete 180. If Harry sees the dursleys again they will become bloodstains on the wall.

The only thing i dont like is Harry not being better than Hermoine. I can kinda see it being ok with the starcross child thing, but when hermoine is on his pwoer lvl and still super smart she is in essence the greater of the two. Though ill keep reading jsut becuase i love how ruthless hey are

 

Its a problem with all the dark and independent Harry/Hermione stories. She is always better than him, either their power is equal and she's smarter or she'd more powerful and smarter. The story that got me in to the whole dark Harry genre included a dark Harry and a Hermione who was just so in love with Harry that she followed him into darkness rather than leading him. Still this one's decent.

 

I don't know for sure what to say about this story, I mean sure it has a pretty unique idea but if you ask me the whole thing is kinda retarded. I can't read past the first chapter, it doesn't seem to be that interesting.

 

Its not too bad, Harry is not the dumb pansy and she is not so bossy. I like the general idea of the fic. They are all living a lie, rather like in matrix. Voldemort seems to be an intelligent but still cruel and mad.
The character development is a bit sloppy. They go from subservient pansies to killing machines. Its all a bit fast and with too little reasoning. But over all I enjoyed reading it.

I thought it was great, sure the first chapter kinda sucked, but as it got into it, it was alot better.

 

This story... is a bit... odd. If you read more than just the first 2 chapters it's not too bad, but on the other hand I couldn't really get into it. There're some clichés and some original ideas and the writing style doesn't seem too bad. I think it's mainly the plot that I don't really like. I don't know why, since I usually read evil!Harry, but in this case I absolutely don't agree with it.
So I would give this story only a go, I had absolutely nothing better to do. But that's of course just my personal opinion and surprisingly I can somewhat understand, why others might like this. But I won't read this any further.
