If I had an awesome super-power, I wouldn't use it very often, I spend most of my time coding/brainstorming-about/playing games (in inverse order), and thinking faster would make me able to make the best damn game every made.

 

Time control definitely: Slow it, speed it, stop it, backwards or forwards...

That just the most powerfull one.

 

Though I'm sure it's been said before: Apparition hands down.

There are so many up-sides to that ability that I won't list them all, but the whole "no more dealing with rush-hour traffic" wins hands down.

 

I just want a firebolt. Let me ride that thing around town, and I'm happy.

I would choose apparition because I am very fond of the idea of getting from here to there instantaneously (it ties into the fact I'm impatient.)

 

How about the power to . . . cast spells? Who needs a set branch of magic when you can have a bit of everything?

 

Mine would be similar to a mimic, but instead of copying real skills, i copy magical ones.
Since there are, apparently, so many powerful people running around, I'll just amble over and steal their powers.

The magical power I'd choose, would be the ability to convert myself into energy at will and to have total control over it.

Then the possibilities would be endless. Travel through phone lines, heat people to death who bug me, even power everything in my home by will alone.

Since it's been revived: I've lately come to think much more of apparition as a power in its own right. Moving house to the middle of nowhere will do that to you.

 

Omniscience. I will know everything, by hook or crook. And that includes what people are thinking too. Hence Legilimency has no use for me.

 

Ah, but once you have omniscience, everything becomes boring and you lose the will to live.

What I'd want is limited omniscience (like, knowing all the facts and inner workings of the universe, but not knowing the future), which will at least keep some things more exciting.

 

I would like to become the Master of Death. Invisibility Cloak, Resurrection Stone and Elder Wand.

Except I want to be immortal with the 3 Deathly Hallows

 

Ah, but if you know absolutely everything about the universe at one time you can accurately predict what will happen. So, once again, you become bored.

 

I don't believe in God, becasue of the reasons stated above. I mean, if I knew everything, I sure wouldn't give a damn about humanity.

 

I'd like the power to send people back in time to the split second before I sent them back in time.
